In response to your accusations:
I do not own a pirated copy of Bryce 3D, nor any product; never have, never will. This copy of Bryce which you claim is pirated is a demo which I play around with whenever I'm bored. When it's not in use, I keep it in stuffed format and let it sit. These two graphics I have prepared in my defense:
(url="http://"http://www.crosswinds.net/~spamguy/bryce3d.gif")Graphic One: Demonstration of Demo's Age On My Machine(/url) The two circled dates are when I first DLed Bryce; the stuffed copy's date represents when I first stuffed it. Because I've been playing with it recently, it is currently unstuffed, although I keep the stuffed version alongside.
(url="http://"http://www.crosswinds.net/~spamguy/bryce2.gif")Graphic Two: Demonstration of Demo Notice(/url) This is a picture of what happens when I try to save - in short, I can't. It's a demo.
However, take notice. I will make a confession that doesn't fit your accusations, but it would be lying to not say it. Here, I'll put it in boldface to make a big deal out of it: If I produce a graphic I like, I take a snapshot using cmd-shift-3. Yes, it has a watermark, and I wish it weren't there, but that's the price I pay for settling with the demo. I was considering inserting my graphics in this condition, but this topic brings up the fact that a) the watermark would be utterly embarrassing (duh), and if I look past the watermark, I realize I was fooling myself in saying my graphics "rock". Thus I'm ditching any graphics I considered applying to the developing compu*wars, and looking for help elsewhere. I now have someone who does non-Bryce-involved graphics already, but I hope to hunt down someone with Bryce soon.
Let me continue with my pirating history: one item, ever. End of story. It was Oregon Trail, and it is approaching its 8th year of age. I always wanted to play it, since I have seen many others play it in front of me. There's no chance you'll find it on software shelves now, and finding it in used software stores is merely a low chance. So I found a place on the Internet that had it, and I DLed it. I played it a few times, and ditched it. Now I know what it's like, and I don't need to do that again.
I ask for an apology from those who responded to this message claiming I pirated. I feel very angry being falsely blamed like this. Thank you for your understanding.
