    • pirate querys!!!


      I was wondering if anyone new of the mechanics behind how you always seem to get pirates following a large fleet of commercial ships. And if anyone new how to edit or adapt this. Is it something to do with the Govt resource number which pirates have in EV ??

    • I suppose you could do that by making a flet resource and putting some pirates and some merchant liners in it.

      its not somthing that i want to make its a phenomena which appears in bothEV and Override and many other plugs and i wanted to know how it works and if it can be manipulated.but thanks anyway 😉

    • Hmm. EVO does allow you to add ships, and auxilliary ships, to missions, so, if you want, you could set things up in a mission so a convoy follows you from syst to syst, with pirates not very far behind.

      If you refer to the way pirates follow you when you have a fleet w/enough cargo capacity, I have no clue. Could be part of EVO-not an (editable) reasource.

      If I had a plug with no pirates as such would the Govt with the same resource numberas pirates appear or would it involve the flag which makes ships take larger bribes.
      any one tried to fiddle with this before??? 😕

    • Isnt this an EV thing only? I can recall many a time I had a 6 escort fleet of Emalgha Freighters (yes... good for making money trading from Emalgha to its moon...) and never got in trouble.

      I even went into Miranu space, picked up SIX Miranu HEAVY freighters and no renegades....

    • in fact, i cant remember seeing that in EVO, its probably only in EV but i dont think there's a way to edit that.

    • There's a couple of resources which (if memory serves me correctly) are called Large Pirate Fleet and Small Pirate Fleet in EV. Either way, they are on their own at the end of the list. If you replace these in your plug-in, then the pirates will no longer appear. Basically, the small pirate fleet appears if you have a couple of freighter escorts, and the large fleet appears if you have several. Very useful for getting rid of a bad reputation -- just fly into a system where they don't like you, and lay into your pirate fleet.
