    • Good points. Equally, dominating Azdgari worlds can only be good from a moral standpoint; I just doubt I'd be able to stand up to the Azdara swarms long enough ><.

    • Defense pods.

Or did you mean fighting Azdaras in a solo Krait? That was barely doable in EVO by adding Dospect, and probably not at all in the EVN port due to how armor recharge worked under the Override engine. If you did both the Zidagar and Igadzra strings you'd have 55 space to work with and a free Plasma Siphon that helps keep the Azdaras back. 20 space for Dospect, then you could try several weapon options. One way would indeed be defense pods, just taking out the first few waves of Azdaras before fleeing to rearm. I'm not sure any setup would let you solo the whole fleet in one go. Perhaps 3 Neutron Cannons and a Phase Cannon. You'd have to Monty-Python backwards until you hit the edge of the system, to string out the Azdaras, and hope you could kill them fast enough. And also hope no random other ships joined the fight, especially not ones with missiles. Under strict play you wouldn't be able to outrun Azdgari Aradas, so those would be your biggest concern.

    • This explains your addition of a modified Krait armed only with Needle Missiles to the EVO Ship Variants...

    • Right. I was never a big fan of secondaries, but how could I forget another good option and one of my favourites, Plasma Siphon. As I recall a swarm of 18 Azdaras was pretty hard to deal with even in a rather nice ship. Perhaps going in a Voinian ship would be sensible.

    • Anything with heavy armour would be good against Crescent ships or anything armed with Phase weaponry. Phase weaponry isn't very good against armour, so if you've got heavy armour, you've got an advantage. In that respect, Voinian ships would be iffy. They do have more armour than any other ships of their class, but are also slow so Crescent ships would swarm you and you'd still have a tough time.

I'd use a faster ship, probably a Lazira, outfit it with Voinian Armour, and have Voinian ships as escorts.

Let me put it this way. In a Voinian Cruiser with full neutron turrets, and no armor addons, I can fight 5 big orange bananas without any problems whatsoever. I can afford to just sit and do nothing while cresent warships hit me with everything they've got because they do so little dmg.

    • Really? If I were to try that, they'd pummel me a good amount before I'd be able to kill them all off. Plus, I never use Neutron Turrets; too slow. Anything faster than a Scoutship makes them inaccurate and they're heavier, too.

They are heavier, but since Phase sucks I'll take neutrons. Besides, you can't make it too easy, and if you're a good pilot, you can remove the speed issue since the AI is dumber than dirt.

    • Who said anything about easy? Using Phase weaponry is a challenge thanks to its poor armour damage and the speed of the shots making some go through smaller ships.

    • Thus Neutrons were born.

    • You've irritated that many people?

    • Don't you read anything in the BnB?

    • I have never been to the BnB, and from the reports, I'm not going to try going there either.

    • You could still lurk and read. A lot of the stuff is pretty funny and I'm working on rolling with the never-ending stream of punches they throw at me. You don't have to post...

Now, let's get back on topic before a mod sees this. Well, assuming they haven't already. What do you think is the easiest port to dominate, cap'?

    • They’re not punches, they’re high-velocity hugs.

    • So they're punching me with their bodies.(?)

The BnB is a fun place if the things you post fit into the anti-foreigner attitude there. If you don't fit into their expectations, and/or they don't find you funny, or you make an ass of yourself by taking things too seriously and not rolling with punches (ahem darthkev, past oryhara), you will be rejected by the community. Generally, people only really mind if you post things to annoy them or post things that annoy them (identical in the community's mind, especially if you've been warned before). Also, even if you're rejected, posting things there can be fun, and things that anger the community as a whole may just amuse a few of its members.

Don't boycott a forum based on a single member's rantings.

Back on topic now, I really liked using the super special cheat igazra with forklifts, so the hardest place was the voinian capital. But on normal play, the easiest I have to agree is Meria.
