I have a question.
Is the Dreadnought captureable? I don't want to do the UE missions again if I can't get that ship.

Yes, and repeatedly so.
Now despite the title of this thread, it's really not the place for this sort of question, and you'd do better to start a new thread. With any luck, a moderator will come along and split your post and mine out of this thread into a new one. With even better luck, they'll retitle this thread to prevent newcomers from mistaking it for the place to ask gameplay questions.

Yes, sir!
Wait, we aren't supposed to ask questions about EVO gameplay in the EVO Board? What's up with that?
** Edit:** Never mind, figured it out.
Back on topic, how is the Voinian Dreadnaught capture-able? You only see it during the one mission for the UE String to destroy it, and even then it's a mission ships and cannot be boarded unless the mission says it should be. Even then, the player can't attempt to board it because the objective is just to board it and then leave the ship. The player can't do anything with it.
As far as I know, there is never an opportunity to capture the Dreadnaught as it wanders around as a normal dĂĽde.

You get the mission, go to the system its in, abort the mission, disable it, board it, capture it. Repeat.

Oh, that's pretty smart!
<facepalm>
Why can I never figure these things out myself? <_<
That said, you'd need a pretty large crew and plenty of escorts with large crews to capture the Dreadnaught. The Voinian Dreadnaught has a whopping total of 2,080 crew members, more than any other ship in the game by far. Not even the ship with the second largest crew, the UE Cruiser, comes close. It only has 609 crew members. You would need your own UE Cruiser and two more as escort just to outnumber the Dreadnaught's crew by less than half a person. Even a full fleet of seven UE Cruisers—one for yourself and six as escort—might have a hard time capturing the Voinian Dreadnaught with barely a hundredth of a crew member over double the Dreadnaught's.
You'd need to be pretty damn lucky to capture that behemoth.
My data files show the Voinian Cruiser has the second-highest crew count, at 891. Plus there's the UE Marine Gear outfit. And in the original EVO, the player's current shield level affected capture odds.

I missed the Voinian Cruiser, sorry. And yes, the UE Marine Gear helps, but you'd need to find a way to do that mission (the one that give you the gear) before destroying the Dreadnaught. Plus, you'd need to try to capture seven Voinian Cruisers without getting shot by the UE. Maybe only six if you decide to fly a UE Cruiser. But still, you need to be lucky enough to capture those Voinian Cruisers. It's a lot of hard work just to capture one ship when you'd be much better off flying with six oversized warship escorts.
Actually, I just remembered you can't have all six escorts since you need an empty slot for your own ship when capturing the Dreadnaught. Taking that into account, you'd have a total of 5064 crew members with yourself in a UE Cruiser and five Voinian Dreadnaughts, putting you at 2.435 times the total crew of the Dreadnaught.
To me, it's not worth it.
You are aware that you can do both the UE and Voinian strings at the same time, as well as two Strands provided one of them is Igadzra. So you can buy a Voinian Cruiser, capture anything else, buy another cruiser, etc. Then you have a fleet of 7 Voinian Cruisers, with UE Marine Gear.
I don't remember the capture odds, but I think they're around 20%. So you're likely to succeed in just a handful of tries. And once you've captured the first Dreadnought, then next 5 or 6 come a lot more easily. Then go snag an Enhanced Arada. Then get the UE Cloaking Device. And get the Plasma Siphon.
Yeah, it's expensive to buy Voinian Cruisers, but there's an in-system trade route with almost no movement required within the Emalghion system. Just get a fleet of six Miranu Heavy Freighter escort (buy one, capture anything, repeat) and yourself pilot an Azdara or Crescent Fighter. Option-Shift-buy/sell was nice in EVO, though not quite as nice as Option-* in Nova.

This is the best ship.
I would disagree, I think the best ship is either the Voinian Frigate or the Lazira.
And Qaanol, you are aware flying any Voinian ship in UE Space is bad since they will think you are Voinian and shoot at you. The only way to get the Voinian Dreadnaught to appear, as far as I am aware, is to do the mission for the UE where you first find it using the UE Cloak and when you destroy said Dreadnaught afterwards. This can be made difficult if the people you work for keep trying to kill you.
Yes, I understand it is possible now, but I still see it as requiring much more work than I find it worth and a lot of luck. If you all like doing that much for the Dreadnaught, fine, go ahead. I, however, will stick to my Lazira and Phase Turrets.
You always want to capture the Dreadnought on the mission where you get the cloak, so you can get the cloak again afterwards in your new ship. You don't need to enter UE space while flying a Voinian Cruiser though. Think a little.
Anyhow, the Dreadnought is certainly the most powerful escort available. But the Enhanced Arada is far and away the best ship to use for oneself. Beside the Shuttle I mean. At least that's how it was in the original game.

Very very helpful.
I'm glad I waited to read this after I captured the Dreadnought, the first thing I was going to do was visit an outfitter, but, apparently, that would remove all of my weapons. Also, I stole the prototype, does that change anything?
And I just like the absurdly large ships.
It's usually best to work up along the escort ship size ladder. In anycase, there are 2 missions which the dreadnought shows up but I recommend you attempt to capture it on the first mission because aborting the mission which you must destroy it downgrades your brownie points with the UE government to the point that you'll never be able to land on any of their ports at all.
Also, it's recommended that you try and dominate Isled station so that you find a convenient spot to park your fleet and ambush the dreadnought there.
Or instead of conquering Isled, you could do the Voinian Missions first, then play as UE (after buying a fake id). This way you can easily avoid getting too shot up by the Voinians in other systems.
And please note, if you conquer a planet/station which then disappears, you can never release it, meaning you'll always have bounty hunters after you.
Bounty hunters, bah, they can't do squat. In fact, I've found that they tend to stop coming after you once you've killed enough of them. Even if they aren't supposed to, it seems that way. Another thing, I've noticed the bounty hunter consequence of conquering planets is absent in EVN, even in the EVC and EVO ports. Any reason for that?

Nobody made përs 1150 in stock Nova.
For the ports to Nova, are you sure they don't work? I haven't checked to see, but last I knew Nova recognized përs 1150 as the bounty hunter, and there is definitely such a resource in Guy's EVO port.
