Having a rabid space parrot blow you out of the universe is some pretty serious nagging. True, in EV he wasn't nearly as powerful as he is in Nova (yeah, I'm gonna call him a he) but he was still powerful enough to make you run away.

i'm pretty sure i remember her attacking me as well, in both EVC and EVO. i was generally more vexed about her stealing my credits though.
EDIT: i also didn't have a credit card at the time, i was only like 13 years old.

in EV hector could be killed in a stock corvette and up... i did it many times just for the hell of it.

in EV:O i cannot say, got it on CD so never had to remember to re-register with formats/reistalls

in EV:N hector is invulnerable and cannot be edited.
