Comprehension is mine! So this is kind of like a more complicated version of risk, with a storyline? I am confused as to how we can win or lose in combat...
Maybe someone could provide a link to an older webstory so I could fully understand.

Okay here are some examples.
Here's a story that's similiar to this one. Okay, exactly like it, but please, don't copy anything.
Also something I noticed. It's got a really cool background!
Wave of DestructionHere's one of the best and longest running ones we ever had.
It lasted for several chapters and never truly died. We decided, as a whole, to end it at it's peak. Unfortunately, Ambrosia has been purging it's boards, so the original chapters are gone forever.
In the beginning, it started at the same place as this one. It prove things can and will change dramatically.
Reign of Chaos (Last Chapter)
Although this was, truly, the best webstory the boards ever had (IMO), the more I read I notice. The concept at that point, was a new race had wiped out half of one of the galaxies. Ross was the home-galaxy of the invading aliens. The aliens had paused to repair and reload, and just about everyone realised that, although winning wasn't everything, the story had a change of ending with the tyrranical aliens destroying everything. It sort of degraded into a wargame in parts.Anyway, those posts are depressing. One, because I like the old background more, and two, it shows my original post count.

Dangit Red, you've made me nostalgic now! (As well as wasting an hour of my precious life...)
Someone should back up all the remaining stories. I'm a little depressed that most of the good ones are already gone. I remember when I got to these boards and went back and read through every single webstory that had been written. There was some amazing writing (and some really bad writing too, I'll be honest) and I always wished that I'd been able to contribute to it. I'd like to be able to do that again, but I guess that will never happen.
Anyway, the links to good old stories convinced me to change my mind. If no one else comes to claim the Igadzra I'll take them, and if someone does I'll play back-up and take a spot when the law of attrition kicks in.

View PostI know. I was originally just going to post them, but I ended up reading most of the last chapter of reign of chaos...(sigh...)
Back on topic, that would be great if you'd control igadzra, since apple core really wanted to be a merc.
Since we have all the topics and players, I'll be posting the actual story topic in a little while.
If there's anything you need to say out of char, I'll be making an OOC and late signup topic shortly.

Nah, OOC can be done in IRC. That's where most of the Maximus Insurrectum planning has happened so far.

View PostI know it's poor planning on my part, but I'm at a college library. I don't have access to IRC clients...

Okay... We have a human renegade player and strand renegade player (Assuming North tip?)
View PostYou are correct in the assumption that I meant the North Tip Renegades.
I think I understand fully the way this works. Thank you for the instruction. -
Hey you know, that is a good idea.... And me planning on writing them in the 'submit post' page the whole time.....

It's not that important, is it?
