I find this plug-in to be ridiculously interesting, possibly even a good idea, but anyway
I just thought I'd drop in an idea-
-have the UE take some major defeats and have to flee current borders
they then colonize those empty worlds to the north
their close presense is what tips off the Miranu to the seriousness of the situation
Miranu then become diplomatic glue, linking the UE, Emalgha, Azdgari, and Zidagar in a final alliance against defeat.
If the Voinian-Igadzra alliance is defeated a new war emerges between the Azdgari and Zidagar, UE and Miranu have to settle it some how.
And all the while the Council continues its manipulation and deceit...

Um, no. They will stay where they are. Voinians were dangerous enough in the stock scenario in the beginning of EVO. And they downright deadly with their alliance with the Igazra. They are under extreme danger already, with the need to build several outposts. How do I know this? Simple. I have offered to proofread UE R& Ds texts. The texts are all texts that you are going to see during the missions, and several of those missions talk about building new outposts. For the very same reason, Voinians newer won the Battle of Sol- to give the player a chance. Having a government destroyed and rosen from ashes has never been used in those plug-ins I have played. Only opression, the opressed being often almost equal to the opressor, both territorially and scientically. There is only a one plug-in I know of where a goverment will completely fall, Reign of the Voinians II. And even there UE starts only without Earth and their border outposts. Even there the player has the option to help the UE.

Note: Progress will slow down a little bit. That's because the mindless bliss of summer is over, and it is no longer feasible to spend three hours a day in front of a computer typing. Don't fret, I'm still working. And I still expect texts to be done by December (unlike some people, I do not forget about the existence of school during the summer, and as such I was able to give you a reasonable estimate).

Great! With Bomb, I often get to wait two weeks without answer and have to write a where are you mail each time. Its getting tiresome, I tell bugs and nobody is to answer to fix bugs. He is probably fricking busy, in which case I understand. You liked my comments? I freaked out when you sent me the the texts so fast. I had 20 pages of text to correct, and you kept sending more within a few days. I had things to do on summer- summer camp and Tallinn which made it even worse. Ultimately, I think was because I didnt be motivated to correct such a large amount of text, and sending more all the time made it impossible. The only with reasonable delay was the Adzgari texts- 2 and half weeks. If you had delays of atleast so long before sending ANY new texts, or even better, I could tell every time when I was finished before sending anything new, perhaps I could continue...

I haven't given up on Fatal Alliance. The mission desc sheet is now 29 pages in Word and only halfway finished :).
At this rate, the plug should be done sometime between Christmas and February. I'll ask for beta testers and storyline proofers then.

Okay, I lied ;). The Section 3 mission descs for the UE Naval string have been sent out to the only proofreader who has given me a significant quantity of feedback. I'm putting in a new system; as the writing style and story are pretty much set at this point, I'll recruit all of you other people as beta-testers once the first few builds come out. Please give me your understanding, and if you have any comments, questions, or critiscm of this new policy please tell me.
On a side note, the descs took up 52 pages in 12 point Times New Roman font. While quantity does not necessarily equal quality, it does show that I've invested a lot of time in work :).

Who was the only one that gave you a significant amount of feedback? Is it someone else than me? Anyway, you said this in a mail 25 September: I'll send you something when I finish the next block. I didnt get anything. And does beta-testing mean every one? Or all that didnt proofread?

Beta-testing is for everyone. Because I seriously doubt anyone will have time to read through 200+ pages of text (school, work, other responsiblities) and give me feedback, I've decided to stop the proofreading program for the most part. (If you REALLY want to know what happens, just ask me and I'll give you a condensed version.)
All the better for everyone- I think that it would be more enjoyable for you to play through the game and read the story in the context it's supposed to be in, and discover the twists and turns of the plot :).

I didnt see any other updates than a important note. Do you mean with affliation that we should remember youre working with other plugs too? What is the wonderful thing, is it the release of Retribution? I read in the in the Progress Log that the end is in sight. And since youre answering in this thread, Ill ask in in it. In my UE R&Ds; plug Fatal Alliance- vaporware? thread you said you would be to me on that. Because my posted above it talked about getting the last developer version or mission descriptions, I assume you mean that. Now its July, and you still havent gotten back to me. Do I need to E-Mail you?
