    • Stuck on 4th Igadzra mission

I get the mission Collect Message from <Any Igadzra Planet> (the fourth mission in the set), but no matter what ship I use it always gives me one day less than I need to complete the mission. What's up with that?

    • That sounds very weird. Are you using the nova converter? If yes, it maybe a bug which hasn't been fixed yet.
If you're playing EVO normally, it's just plain strange. You can all ways try and abort the mission and then reacquire it, it sometimes help.

    • I am running EVO normally and I have already aborted the mission a couple times and restarted with different ships. I haven't done anything (even going to Outfit my ship) except rush to the other system, land, and return. Could it have to do with my escorts?

I can't be certain. I was under the impression that escorts did not slow down the time needed to jump between systems, but somebody else will need to confirm that.

    • I was thinking having escorts might add days when you land on a planet. I'll test the theory.

    • That was it! Having any escorts adds a day at each port of call. I released all the escorts and was able to do the mission in time. sigh Now I'll have to go beat a bunch of bad guys up to get my escorts back.

Aye, glad you got that solved. And no escorts means more fun for you anyway. 😉

    • On the Igadzra mission where you have to destroy the Azagari (sp?) Warship and it's complement of fiughters, which one needfs to be killed? I've scoured the eastern half of Izgadra space looking for Warships. On the (rare) occasion where I DO kill one, I go to the ststion where you need to report back to (I forget the name) and nothing happens.

Is there one Warship in particular that needs termination, or does it just require the destruction of any Warship? And if it's the former, is it be any chance the Warship that instantly turns hostile the moment I enter the system?

On a side note, I've noticed that if you capture a vessel that needs to be killed, you can't complete the mission. Is this true (capturing = killing)?

    • Were you given a name to look for?

I don't remember what ship I killed in that mission, but I'm guessing it might be just inside the Azdgari border, probably in an uninhabited system. Either that or it has penetrated deeper into Igadzra space than they thought.

    • No name, just "Adzagari Warship and it's fighters". By now I've blown most of the Adzagari fleet to bits, but still nothing. Any chance that aborting, then reaquiring the mission might work?

    • If it's the one I'm thinking of, you should find the ship in the Racet system, four jumps from and to the Southeast of Igadzra. I thought that mission told you to find a named ship though, something like A.S.S. Lazerfunk, but it may not - it has been a really long time! And that mission stumped me on three different occasions before I ever got further in the Igadzra storyline - in fact I believe I found out where it was from the board here :).

Either way, yes it will be a specific ship that needs killing, which is why I think it will be specially named. And as for your other query, you cannot capture ships that you need to kill for missions - you will be told "You cannot board this ship." In some cases this is useful as you can tell if you needed that one when you're trying to find the last one or two of a big fleet; in other cases, it's just a safeguard against what you were alluding to. So no, capturing ? killing. In fighting big fleets, you can capture the fighters, but never the capital ships for missions.

Anyway, an interesting bit of info earlier in this thread - I never knew escorts increased your hyper-time! Does that hold true for captured as well as bought ones? The former were the only types I ever played with.

Yes, that might work. If you've landed before completing the mission it can cause problems sometimes.
