They have insanely high shield regen, and after slapping dospect on it (creating insanely high armor regen), they pretty much own the crescent, if not all of space.

just exactly how do you plan to capture a ship without armor?

It's a arada, which does have some armor. I tried to capture one, got them disabled a couple of times, but is really difficult trying to not get the disabled ship or you blown up. Then you can put on another shield generator (the last time I checked, the Enhanced ships have inheritly high regeneration rates, not the outfit) and dospect armor, making yourself almost invincible. Then the game becomes boring because you can throw yourself at almost anything and still come out without a scratch.

Darn, I got it wrong. I'm thinking of the better known enhanced azdara. oops.

    • Heh, and history repeats itself. It clearly shows that some people just read the newest replies in a topic 🙂

    • Well, I did end up playing the Azdgari (does anyone actually know how to spell these damn things without checking them every time??!). I actually made a mission reset type plug for everything but the Voinians if anybody wants it. I just wanted to save some time, though I THEN needed some fake IDs for strand govts after doing the Igadzra string first.

Anyway- I captured an enhanced arada just as told about. I then added dospect armor from the UE station you help complete. I added both the standard shield module plus the adz... agzd... a-team upgrade 😉 I pretty much don't get touched. It amused me briefly ammassing a fleet of top notch ascorts. Though the azdgari warships were awesome with whole fleets of adzaras, and igazras never died, I like a whole pack of the zidagar ships (for some reason I am drawing a blank here...). Those beams plus 2 fighters each made things die in a hurry.

sure, just remember, each of those names has the same letters,

      two-A's a-G a-Z a-D an-R and an-I.
after you memorize that it gets a lot easier to spell those four names.

    • dsatt12,

      Azdgari
      Zidagar
      Igadzra
Repeat (or type) for one hundred times.
You're done, you will now know them perfectly.

Heh, I think we once found out that you can make 5040 other combos with those letters.

    • My personal favorite is the Arada. It's been a while since last I played EVO, but I recall my hopped-up miscellaneous-version Arada, the orange one, being able to kick a lot of arse. Not invincible, but no weakling either...

False. There are two a, so it's not simply 5040=7×6×5×4×3×2 (seven choices for the first letter, then only six for the second, etc...), but 7×6×5×4×3×2/2=2520.

Of course most of them are unpronoucable...

    • Actually only 5040 not counting the duplicate a. It's a permutation (7!, not 7^7).
A paltry 2520 when you count the duplication (7!/2!).

    • That's what I meant, indeed. I made a program that can compute a list of all the strings that are anagrams of a base one (easy to do recursively), and it output me a list of 5040 strings with "igadzra", that I made into a set (which supressed the duplicates), and the set had 2520 elements. Then I made some other program to choose randomly one and display it should I be bored : "ooh, a good, impronouncable one: "aigazrd"!"
