while I was on a dominating spree in voinian space, I hailed and demanded tribute from Outpost Topel. to my utter astoundment the staition launched shuttles, cargo transporters, and scoutships. after I wiped the puny defence fleet out I landed and the station was a normal voinian station. no secrets. does anybody know about this? If so then do they know if it was a mistake or an easter egg?

Depends. I've never heard of something like that. What EVO are you using (i.e. normal or EVN TC?) It might be a corruption of the field in the spöb of outpost topel hat tells which kind of düde is to be used for the defence fleet.

I checked the override data files. outpost topel uses dude 130, or UE traders. this dude ID is only one or two digits diferent from voinian warships and voinian intercepters. the outpost topel defence fleet could have been a mistake because I know from experience how hard it is to remember the correct ID.

I am away from home and EVO, so I didn't check. To tell if it's a joke or a bug, you would have to ask the author. I personnally think it's a mistake from him, usually easter eggs like that are clearly marked as easter eggs (it would be a new düde containing only unarmed shuttles, for instance, if it was to be an easter egg).

It's probably a joke as opposed to a bug, as it was like that pretty much from the beginning. I'm 1, maybe 2 patches behind the current version and it's like that. If it was a bug, they would have spent the extra 10 minutes to change the type and make it a normal Voinian defence fleet.

It's a joke as far as I can tell. It's been around since EVO 1.0.0, people have noticed it, and they've conspicuously not done anything about it.
