It wasn't that it disrupted or inconvenienced anyone, it's just rather poor board ettiquite in my opinion.
Yet no one else's, you notice. You were the only one to object, and if it's a semi-dead board anyway what does it matter?

My comment about how it wasn't on the bottom for everyone was only to let you know that what you may see as an out-of-sight topic isn't quite the same for everyone. This is the second time in a short period of time that you've had something happen that had to do with this (the other was on the Just Games board, where you thought there were hardly any posts, even though there were plenty).
I never change the type of topic-viewing options, it stays at default the whole time. Maybe I'm paranoid that the topic will be lost - either way I don't think it was your business to tell me, even as moderator. I know how to behave here, thank-you-very-much , and I'd rather if you saved the lectures in future.

Sheesh, you shouldn't be willing to give up just because of an (apparent) lack of interest. As the rest of this thread has shown, there is indeed some interest in your plug. To cancel it just because people aren't rushing to your topic (that isn't named about your plugin at all; to the average passerby, it's about a logo) would suck.
Lack of interest is a perfectly good reason to give up. If no one wants to play the plugs I put so much effort into, then they won't. I was proved wrong, and in fact the interest has surged me onto making a new string of missions. But if no one had replied the plug would be for my amusement only. As it is, I could release the plug-in at any time: 73 missions is enough for any scenario, but I want to do it until I totally burn out so you all get the best I can give.

I was talking about in general, not this specific instance. I've seen plenty of plugins that had more work done on their promotion than their creation, and as a result, died.
Why talk about in general? This thread is about my creations, stick to the subject at hand if you talk to me - I don't care about what other people failed to do. I know I will not fail this, because, like I said, it's releasable now. If I get fed up and can't go on I'll just stick it in the add-ons page as it is - it's already a confirmed release.

I still stand by my opinion that the EVO plugin development community isn't nearly what it is for EVN or EV.
Perhaps, but this could be for many reasons - graphics, style, scenario - people never liked EVO for some reason, but to me it has the most scope and potential of all three.

Uh, you've been around for 4 years? Under what name?
Sorry, I don't mean to sound bitchy, but "pistgavin" isn't familiar to me at all.
As anyone who's been on the EV B&B; for more than two years can tell you that I've joined with several names, which I have stuck with more months then dumped. Starting with Bad Temper (unregistered) to Gav to Gavin to Gavin-Hardy ect ect....
pitgavin is my latest and final name.

I didn't say it hurt the board, I was just asking you not to do it in the future since it doesn't make any sense to do so. There had been a whole 1 day since your last post; since it's a semi-dead board, you don't need to bump it. Case closed, as far as I'm concerned.
Yes, case closed. Since you've said practically nothing about the plug-in itself, just plug making 'in general', I would rather if you didn't reply because, like you said, I could be spending the time on my plug rather then replying to this (quite frankly) pointless debate.

As far as the second comment, there's absolutely no way I can respond to that without sounding like a jerk. Oh well.
Very true.
