Will EV and EVO run on OSX? Or will I have to get some sort of OS 7.5/8 emulator?

No and no. As forge already said, you can run EVO (and EV, for that matter) under Classic.

If you have access to EV:N and are registered, you could use the TC that convert EV:N to EV:O or EV if you want an all X environment.

**That's a good idea, rabbit. Does anybody here have experience of an Override TC in Nova? I love the Override universe, but it looks a bit too dated to earn runtime on my newest Mac.

Roundabout when Nova first came out, some guy asked me to remodel each and every EVO ship for Nova, complete with running lights, engine flares, you name it, he wanted it. I told the tyke to get lost - I wouldn't put that sort of load on my shoulders if I was paid to.
To the best of my knowledge (which admittedly is not total), there is no Override TC for Nova ... although it might be easy enough to do if someone knew what they were doing. Giving it all the new features would be a nightmare, though.------------------
