    • 1.Why doesn't the UE government team up with Elmagia(or however its spelled), using Elmagian weaponry mounted on an actual turret(not that stupid 90 degree arch thing.)If they did that the Vionians would fall so fast.

2.Then they could form an alliance the the Adizari(not sure how to spell that either)and use their shield recover technology.

3.Then if they used the 'dreadnaught technology'(high armor and shields, mixed with huge fighter bays and lots of weapons :D) mixed with the Adizari shield regeneration and all the resources from the newly conquered Vionian planets they could in theory conquer all of the Cresent, and after conquering each race they would gain more technology.
Ex.conquer 1 Zindigar(not sure how to spell) main planet, gain phased beam technology and Zindigar EMC system, making it easier to attack Indagri(guess who doesn't care if he spells stuff wrong :D).

Well, Huron certainly secedes from the UEs- they do it because they feel their own resources could be better used defending their planet against the renegades, rather than fighting a distant war. Certainly, this seems to be a popular sentiment in the south- but what of the north and western worlds, who are directly threatened by the Voinian wars of conquest?

    • also if the UE government fell Huron and the surrounding systems are far to weak to counter the Vionians

I've always seen the Huron incident as a problem with the United Earth government for the opposite reason. Huron was 'liberated' - a major constitutional change in any government - on the orders of a military official, evidently without any consultation with either the people of Huron or any branch of government, and McPherson didn't even have any clear evidence that anyone beyond a small terrorist organisation wanted Huron to leave United Earth.

This seems to me to suggest that the UE military is excessively powerful, and I don't think you can fault Preston Manning's 22nd-century counterparts for objecting to such "abuse of emergency powers," and indeed I wonder why such emergency powers would have been granted in the first place.

However, think about EVO's intro text--the resourceds of a lot of distant UE systems are going to a war that they are quite far away from. Is this fair or just? What gives the UE the right to exploit them in this manner?

Given that the efforts of United Earth are all that keep the war far away from them, I don't think that you can fairly call it exploitation.
