    • Battle with NT Rengades:
      The people of the Azdgari's fleet consisting of Azdgari Warships:20 Azdgari Aradas: 35 Azdaras: 177 G2 Azdaras: 140, each with many brave and honored soles jumped into Hrekka. The renegade fleet was not complying with thier plan however as they were cowering far away from their station. The Azdgari, always ready to change plans, regrouped into 4 main attack groups to attack from different angles. They streaked across the system, every second covering massive amounts of space. The Azdgari engaded in ferocious battle destroying many clusmsily put together ships. But then the renegades cleared a path through the asteroids and started a jump. The Azdgari thought that they might and launch a counter attack on Raigar so they had left ships there. The commander noticed that their ships were not oriented towards Raigar. Then he realized that they were trying to run. The commander laughed out loud, to go anywhere they would have to travel through Miranu and Zachit space, it would be a slaughter. Even so he wanted to make sure they payed for their acts. He ordered his ships to intercept them, they made the jump for Niwom. He knew that the fleet at Raigar would not be able to catch them so he did not call for back up. As they began to jump he saw the other fleets celebrating. He sent a quick little enrypted message to them about how they were going to intercept the fleet.
      As they were going through hyperspace they still did not know why the scummy fleet had tried to flee. Then their scanners picked up an unencrypted message: *From: Redchigh, North Tip Renegades
      We've been forced to flee from north tip. We will arrive in your space soon. We're begging for sactuary and a place to outfit, repair, research, and rebuild. Please reply before our arrival, to ensure there are no disagreements.

      It became clear all of a sudden and he sent this message to everywhere. Thank god for stupid people thought the Azdgari fleet commander. If they had encrypted the message we would not know where they are heading. Still he thought the Iggys would have to stoop pretty low to help them.
      He was concerned with the task at hand however as soon they came out of hyperspace. A fleet of: (with damages) Azdgari Warships:18 Azdgari Aradas: 33 Azdaras: 170 G2 Azdaras: 139 was hard to manage but he was one of the best generals. He had used the Azdgari's speed and arrived at Niwom before the Renegade fleet. He had his ships warm up their weaponry. His compters did a bunch of calculations and got the general idea where they would be arriving in. He knew that the Renegades already fleeing from one battle would be in no hurry to join another. He was going to change their minds however. Both generations of Azdaras were sent to the front in groups of 2. Soon the fleet jumped then the Azdgari fleet was ready. Using an old Azdgari tactic they had formed a lose concave disk where the fleet would jump in. Then to stop the ships from jumping too soon both generations of Azdaras moved infront of all the Renegade ships and opened fire. If they tried to jump they would destroy thier ships and the Azdaras, if they tried to move the rest of the fleet would be waiting, if they opened fire then the azdaras would move to the rear of the vessels and open fire and then the other ships would move in. The Azdgari fleet inflicted massive damage. Dispersal rockets reigned supreme and phase weaponry ripped through the shields of the Renegades. The Azdgari fleet ganged up on the ships so to minimize loses. The Azdgari Shield Regenerators and Jammers worked very well. The Azdgari fleet could send some damaged ships to the back to regenerate and send others forward. 1/3 of the turrets were jammed and any SAD's they had were practically useless. The fleet commander looked on and smilied. His Azdgari Warship along with the 17 others moved in for the kill. They destroyed what seem to be the command ships with ease. 18 Azdgari warships and all the supporting ships made it easier than falling off a log. The renegade fleet lost cohesion and had lost massive amounts of ships. It would be possible for some of the ships to escape but then the Azdgari fleet would just use the same tactic until all that was left of this space scum would be dust and a few electrons floating around.

      Yes he thought he was going to ask the Zachit to help the Miranu. They would of course help the Miranu. It looked as if the Azdgari, Zachit, Miranu, and Voinians would confront the Iggys, the Zidagar who were being supressed and forced to make a fleet, and that alliance in the south. The part about "anyone you could contact would also be appreciated" was very cryptic and he wished that the Miranu would get more clear writers

      Gordon was pleased. The Voinians started to seem like they were finally starting to use the Azdgari gifts. He liked to sound of a AV cannon.

      Gordontron gave the Azdgari people an update on what was happening. The Azdgari people always were let in on as much information about thier government as possible. They know knew of the Miranu deal because obviously the iggys had been let in on their deal. The Azdgari people in general agreed to be governed by the Miranu who were no more outsiders than the iggys. Also the Miranu were just as where the Iggys have commited many atrocities in the past that they were aware of. Many Azdgari's only wanted to be ruled under the council and were sent to Raigar because if they won or los the battle of Chak Raigar would still be theirs. The mentality of the Azdgari people allowed them to sift lies from the truth. They have been given propiganda from the Iggys and Zidagar for years so they were used to it. They knew that the propaganda about uniting the strands was complete bull sh*t and only a few hundred would ever submit. Those Azdgaris were traders who did not care who they were governed by as long as they got their pay.

      Gordontron was very sad. His homeland had been lost. The battle of Chak had been lost, many brave soles had died. Evil had defeated good. Gordontron was still zooming around Azdgari overseeing the evacuation. Every scrap of equipment was taken every computer data base was destroyed. Everywhere any scrap of information that pertained to the Azdgari ships or technology was backed up on Voinain computers before being completely destroyed. His ships on Muid were already heading for Raigar. It had been a good thing that he had ordered a massive evacuation of all civilians. They started the sad long journey to Raigar around the now secure Cresent Rim. All the scientists were loaded onto a few old Azdgari research ships and were sent to Raigar. Only he now remained in space, even his council had fled. A few Azdgari's remained in the homeworld systems waiting for the Miranu to arrive. The Green Meanace circled the Azdgari system 13 times, this was an age old tradition. He made sure that all of the self destruction devices were set and armed on all of his systems.
      He then sent this message to all of space:
      -The Azdgari have lost their nation. Their evil enemies have destroyed most of our fleet and we are now fleeing. The Miranu now control the following systems: Muid, Dirach, Toi, Molar, Azdgari, and own a share of Kade. Anyone wishing to migrate must go through Miranu law. The Azdgari people are migrating to Miranu space and will stay there. We henceforth wish to have nothing to do with the strand war. However our enemies will not except so we will continue our watch.

      Most of the people moved to Raigar. Soon however the planet was filled to the Max and more room was needed. So many moved to the now Azdgari controled but Miranu supervised, Kitrak (Right Mira). Even that was not enough so many moved to Dewe, but most of the left overs (millions if not billions) moved to Hizdrair. There were so many Azdgari's on Hizdrair that they took advantage of the lpose immigration laws and took control of the government. The corrupted planet was fixed in all areas. They changed the government to an Azdgari style. Many of the people there were criminals those were either kept in close watch or were sent to Garn. Garn was a frozen world. The criminals manned the many environmentally unfriendly industries that had flourished on Hizdriar's loose government. This began to change the environemnt of Garn. The planet began to heat up. At this time the planet has become habitable and there is a temperate climate and the industries have been cleaned up. Many Azdgaris have moved to Garren and that is now owned by the Azdgari's too. The criminals were then sent to F-7136, a mud world with no standing water. An ammunition factory was started there, owned and operated by criminals but overseen by the Azdgari. The left over explosive material was used to blast huge holes in the earth. This created rivers, lakes, hills, and dry places. Plants were brought in and it is almost habitable.

      -Started 5/11/03 finished 5/15/03: This is a new type of scanner. It is not jammed by any systems because it uses a variation of basic scanning types and message signals. But to the real stuff the actual scanner: This can be outfitted anywhere and is relatively small. It is able to distinguish cloaked ships. Here is how it works:
      The Zachit have long had to defend their stations against asteroids. To track the movement of major asteroids they experimented with various scanner types. This one was thrown away as impractical scanned real space. Unlike what primitive scientists thought space is not a vacume. It is filled with many different types of particals, there are some that are not easily seen called dark matter. This scanner is able to detect these particles and the paths they travel. They are normally stable but if something moves through them a signiture reaction is created. For instance if a cresent warships flew through space this scanner would be able to see its "wake." The only problem it had was that it could not distinguish a cresent fighter from an asteroid. This was critical for the Zachit so they dropped the project and allowed it to leak out. This device could see the individual wakes of a ship or the numbers of ships in an armada. This is designed to counter the cloak which was brought to the Azdgari's attention by the Voinians and a scouting party.

      The Igadzra fleet burst into the DSN-7903 system, arriving outside SAE range, and infact outside the range previously shown to be the spinal beams longest range. Of course, with the massive upgrade to the beam, it could now hit far beyond what had been previously possible.

      Sitting over 50% further away than an SAE could reach, the fleets Igazras opened fire with their beams, their destructive potential far above what the Voinians had previosuly experienced. And far more deadly to armour. The beams cut into the patchwork station, carving massive chunks off, the stations shields literally being nothing to the combined fire of 100 Igazras.

      And being sensible, the Igazras targetting computers where more than ready to switch targets to any ships that attempted a charge. And with a change in strategy, the fleets Aradas where out infront, but still with an extra 25% of the SAE range between them and the station. With their speed, cloaks, and new jammers, anyone trying to hit them would have extreme difficulty

      The Hegemony had sent what was being called the Final Fleet. It would find the Azdgaris last base, and destroy it. If possible it would try to save the Azdgari people, and return them to their homes, but the Hegemomy knew such a job would be hard.

      It has been decided that current shielding technology is lacking in several areas, and many ideas have been put forwards to improve shield technology. One of these is to split a shield grid into multiple layers, allowing a lower strength field to regenerate quicker due to lower overall power demands. Another idea is the intergration of phase crystals, boosting power throughput to shield generators. This project is expected to give all Hegemony ships significant shield boosts. An upgrade to the Akrayhek Alliance cloak is also being included in this project, and Hegemoyn scientists are making many pleased noises about what it will do.

      The Hegemony fleet was over 400 Igazras strong, and over 600 I.Aradas strong. The hegemoyn did not intend to lose. Appearing in the system far outside SAE range, the fleet opened fire on the mass of ships guarding the system. The station could not effect the battle unless the fleet went into range of it. 400 Spinal Beams smashed into the Voinian fleet, cutting huge swarths through it. The fleets Aradas flied about closer to the station, although only by about 15%. Their new jammers ensuring all they looked like to sensors was one huge blob of sensor disruption. Should any of the enemy fleet attempt to charge the Hegemony fleet, it would pull back, using the range of the spinal beam to cut the faster ships apart before they could get within range.

      Raigar

      The Hegemony fleet appeared in the Azdgari system, near the edge, If the Azdgari wanted a fight, they'd have to come to the Hegemony fleet. While the Azdgari may have known about the spinal beam. they certainly didnt know about the new and improved version. At a range beyond anything thought possible, 158 beams lanced out, cutting into the Azdgari fleet. 158 Azdgari Azdaras went up in explosions. And then the Igazras switched targets and repeated the process.

      As soon as the Igadzra fleet jumped out of Stror, the Voinian fleet prepared to defend from an attack. Since the Igadzra must have known that the Voinian fleet was stronger than anything in Stror was they must also have gathered a larger fleet. The Voinians immediately finish refitting their vessels with AV cannons and loading guided rockets into every bay as the primary defense against the possibly superior numbers. They then retreat to the far side of the system more than 3 times SAE range from the closest exit. The minefield set up is checked and increased in size to prevent cloaking from causing problems.
      The Igadzra entered a good distance beyond range of either fleet but they began to advance to attack. Once they reached the planet at 2 times SAE range from the fleet, the entire Voinian line up fired every guided missile they had. The Igadzra continued along believing their range was superior. At 1.75 times SAE range, the first volley of guided rockets hit the Igadzra fleet, the close formation making hitting any target easy. The Voinians had been primarily targeting the Igazras to keep the efficiency of the beam as low as possible. The Igadzra, still struggling with the minefield noticed immediately that the Voinians must have obtained there approximate speculations on every vessels as 60 rockets flew at many Igazras and 10 rockets flew at many Aradas. The Igadzra ceased assuming their fancy jammers would do any good the second the 7236 rockets hit. The new guidance system was inefficient in comparison to artificial intelligence but it was perfectly immune to jammers. 97 Igadzras fell in an instant and 59 Aradas fell in an instant. The rockets which came after the destruction of a enemy ship followed through to the next vessel in the proximity and destroyed 29 more Igazras and 52 more Aradas. This is how the Igadzra made it to the 1.70 times SAE range point. Four times as many missiles were on the way the soonest to arrive would hit the enemy vessels in .3. human seconds. (OOC: needed to kill Igazra 54, Arada 7 RMA I wish you'd give exact numbers I like numbers. I also included several misses in this data.)

      Hmigro-Stror
      Outside the system as soon as all vessels disappeared from Stror the fighter fleet in Hmigro moved in acquiring the empty system and razing the base the Igadzra had placed there.

      Improved production facility in makeshift base. ETA: 2RTD (OOC: questionable if not I'll use the space for something else.)
      The third step in many to make this base useful to the Voinian empire. It will produce 5 more Carriers and 10 more Strroka per RTD when this upgrade is complete.

      Seeing the preliminary success of the Guided rocket. The Voinian researchers begin designing an improvement that would still fit into the same launcher.

      Sitting in a conference room in Voltok Shipyards, Supreme Commander Zathe ek Daal smiled wickedly. His fleets were stronger than ever, and now it appeared there was a use for them.

      The Igadzra had found an enemy. The Voinians had nationalized Strands, and although the Strandless felt some resentment for their exile, they still felt affinity for their original people. There would be a reckoning.

      However, a small task force would be dispatched to the galactic west to try to find these Voinians, but part of this force would move into the Proxima Nebula, using their NPDs. They will be equipped to set up a colony if they find habitable worlds.

      Research

      Alliance Armor Retrofit: With their shield regeneration levels being rivaled by none, the Alliance has moved to upgrade the hulls of its sizable fleets. A new element recently discovered on a foray to Siqwe, named Daalium after the Supreme Commander, is being synthesized across Alliance space. An extremely dense metal that forms macromolecular chains with extremely high melting points, Daalium is armor highly resistant to most known forms of energy weapons. Its density allows for great resilience against mass-based ballistic weapons as well. Since the element will be cunningly installed by Alliance engineers across and interwoven into the very hulls of the ships, no weapon space will be lost. All ships will be outfitted with this new advancement, and all further ships built will have it. (Begun: 5/13/03) (End: 5/18/03)

      Inferno Arsenal, Mk. II: With their total alliance with the Greater Crescent Hegemony, the Akrayhek Alliance has decided to use what knowledge they have of Hegemony technology to improve the Inferno Arsenal. Sunlances are being completely overhauled, being able to process greater amounts of energy with low-scale reactors built along the lines of the Emerald Fire, while the Hegemony spinal beam advantage of swivel tracking is being implemented, allowing the Sunlance to be on a par with Alliance turreted tracking systems. The Sunlance will also have the range of the best Spinal Beams now in the service of the Igadzra Navy. The Firestorm cannon and turret are also being upgraded. (Begun: 5/13/03) (End: 5/18/03)

    • Gordontron was frusterated with the Miranu. It was obvious from their few people left around Azdgari that they were making no effort to use the systems. The iggys had decided to claim them and that could not happen. He took a vote of his citizens as to whether the planets should be destroyed. the vote came 95% for and 5% against. It was decided then. The people had overruled the council who had voted against it. The iggys would find that their system they had set up was very effective. So much for those planets. He then turned to his defense advisor and asked what was the current deal.

      He reported:
      15 VST (120 real turrets), 24 AST (120 real turrets)
      Of course they are in the normal formation of VST on the inside of the sphere and AST on the outside. The sphere moved around a little but mainly faced galactic east.

      The war party had totally destroyed the last of the NT Renedages. They had lost only a few ships mainly due to the lack of renegade organization. The Renegades always have bad organization (ooc:it was said in the rules) and the loss of their flagship didn't help either. The fleet had made it's short way back to Raigar and was just refueling and getting more missiles.

      The adjusted total amount of ships with the production and losses is:

      A report came in that all the ships were now in the system running drills, they were all refueled. Just then a Iggy fleet jumped in at the edge of the system. The ships scrambled from the opposite side of the system up to the shield of space turrets. The Azdara G2's were first because they had just been upgraded. They filled the gaps between the space turrets. The Iggy fleet was out of SAE or turret range. It all depended on what the fleet did. The Azdgari Fleet set their shields to 1/4 forward meaning that the front shield had all the shields of 3 times. The Azdgari Shielding Advantage would be tested. The various space turrets would also add a wild card to the battle. The iggys had never seen them and they would prove very valuable. If the Iggys charged their were a few plans for what to do, there were also plans if they used that beam or their SAE's.

      Gordontorn sent out a message to his people on all the worlds telling them of the attack. A few fled for Miranu space, a few for Voinian space. Gordontron then sent a message to the Miranu, Zachit, Seleria, and the Voinians: (lighly encrypted)
      We are being attacked at Raigar. We made no offensive moves against the Iggys as we had promised to remove ourselves from the strand war. We will probably be able to fend off these invaders and save our people from slavery at worst opression at best. If we lose the battle a few of us will move to an undiclosed location. Our people will be able to stay where they are now or go to Miranu space. A few may want to go with the Iggys and they will be allowed to do so. Please sent ships to save the Azdgari people and our soveriegn nation.

    • OOC: I'll let the mods decide on whether or not the research times are okay, especially pertaining to the Shipyard Enhancement, which I am unsure of.

      I tried to give fairly accurate stats for all Zidagar ships. Though note that I can't guarrantee I got the stats accurate in relation to the latest versions of them (assuming Xenocide upgraded them in some way). I also took a good guess at the Arada stats, but I still have no idea about what the Carrier stats are. Might someone try and find them, or do I have to make them up on my own?

      The refit of the Zidagar fleet has at last been completed, implimenting many Igadzra and Zidagar technologies. New research projects are being started as ship construction continues at a splendid rate. Soon, new armadas will be formed. The reason for this was the low threat level. The Azdgari were conquered, allowing more ships to be stuffed into fewer border systems, which ended up making the defense fleets of the borders rather potent (albeit still not enough to stop a determined armada, but close enough).

      Project 1: Shipyard Enhancement - 4 RTDs (completed on the 17th of May)
      While the production of some ships, such as the Zidara and Zidagar Carrier, are competely adequate, the Zidagar Territories government has noticed a lack in the production of Zidagar Fighters and Zidagar Aradas. As such, a shipyard enhancement is currently being worked on which will increase Z. Fighter production (per RTD) to 30 fighters. It will also increase Z. Arada production (per RTD) to 30 aradas.

      Project 2: Zidagar "Zigra" Beam Cruiser - 4 RTDs (completed on the 17th of May)
      After the success of the Spinal Beam, tacticians decided it would be extremely advantageous to produce a ship whose primary weapon was the Spinal Beam. As such, the Zidagar "Zigra" Beam Cruiser was born. Basically a ship built around a massive Spinal Beam, the Beam Cruiser is relatively fast, but its shielding and armor is nothing extrordinary. It must also be escorted by other vessels, as it has no other weapons other than the colossal Spinal Beam built through its center. With the increased size of the Spinal Beam, range is also expected to be improved, as well as damage.

      Project 3: Electromagnetic Shock Cannon - 7 RTDs (completed on the 20th of May)
      With massive improvements in the areas of range and power on the Spinal Cannon, as well as enhancements to Phase Weaponry, Zidagar scientists are now turning their attention to a totally new kind of weapon; the Electromagnetic Shock Cannon. Designed for medium-range melees, the Shock Cannon shoots out lightning-like arcs of electromagnetic energy into nearby ships. Able to affect dozens of ships within seconds, the weapon has several effects. Aside from its powerful shield damage, it also scrambles the guidance systems of any homing weapon it touches and can completely scramble the electronics of a ship with its shields down (and even with shields up, electronics are somewhat effected). Though the effect is momentary, long-term exposure can be extremely devastating, and even a few seconds of crippling the enemy can be useful (as, when a ship is hit by one of these weapons with its shields down, it cannot do really anything).

      The UE base commandant thought over the alien message. Their ships were most odd, but perhaps their strong shields would permit them to combat the Voinians somewhat effectively.

      "Lieutenant, open a channel to the alien fleet."

      "Aye sir. Channel open."

      "Excellent. Greetings from the United Earth government. Your question about the Voinians is most intriguing. Do you wish to combat them?"

      "Indeed," growled the Igadzra on the other end of the line. "Where can we find them?"

      "Here, we're transmitting you maps of the region immediately surrounding what we know of Voinian space. These are our border worlds." He highlighted a route along the map, which showed how to get from Molos to the border. The maps were not full UE Space Survey maps, merely what information would lead the Igadzra to combat the Voinians. "You can get there on this way."

      The Igadzra perused the data. "This looks satisfactory. Your aid will not be forgotten. I thank you."

      The UE commandant then looked back at his screen and got some more coffee. The Igadzra vessels could be seen moving towards the hyperexit, heading towards the Voinians. The UE had an ally against their hated enemy.

      Stror

      The Voinian fleet appeared in the Stror system, and found itself in trouble. Unlike the Voinians, the Hegemony could detect enemy ships at long range. And so the reserve fleet from Ersadt had come to help. Although really it wasnt needed. 22 Igzars opened fir at extreme range with their spinal beams, and began the proccess of cutting the enemy fleet apart. That wasnt all though, as I.Aradas beagn decloaking all over the place and unleashing SAEs before vanishing into cloak in milliseconds.

      The battle really was onesided. The Voinians where outclassed, all because they'd acted onm information that had come from an apparently hallucinating commander. How else would he have known the fleet that had been protecting the system had left. Not that that would have made any differnece. Stror station wasnt exactly unarmed. It had enough spinal beams and SAEs to kill a fleet by itself. And not being stupid, the fleets Igzaras would change targetting to any ships that attempted to close, and kill them quickly.

      DSN-7903

      The Voinian fleet looked like it had been expecting something as the Igadrza fleet had closed the minimal distance to fire. But they obviosuly underestmated the range of the upgraded spinal beam, and probably their own weaons. Within seconds of the fleet openeing fire, all of the ships classified as Strokka carriers had been obliterated. The fire of a single spinal mount beam could destroy anything very quickly. Over 400 could kill masses of anythings very quickly.

      Raigar

      The Igadzra fleet opened fie on the Azdgari ships, not moving any closer, content to stay at range. While mildly disappointed at the apparently stronger shields of the Azdgari ships, it didnt make any actual difference. Their ships jsut took a few milliseconds longer to die under the massed spinal beam fire. Within the first 5 seconds, almost 500 Azdaras had died. The spinal beam could destroy fighters very quickly.

      DSN-9608

      The Hegemony fleet paused in the DSN-9608 system, carefully scanning the area for any Voinian ships, whil remaining under cloak. The new reactors certainly helped in that regard.

      Azdgari space

      The takeover had been fairly simple, nothing being in the way and all. All that sat in the Azdgari systems now where the small hegeomy defence fleets, and the expanding shipyards. They'd end up being the most productive shipyards anyone had, not having to worry about any impacts on the ecology of any of the planets or local space.

    • The defense fleets have at last been reorganized with the additional ships recently built. As of now, the only systems guarded by a defense fleet are Zidagar, Qerid, Pozdag, and Yerdor. With so few systems to defend, the First Zidagar Armada has been rebuilt, and will now recieve all new ship production until it is strong enough, and a new fleet will then be built.

      And after a message from Hegemony High Command, the First Armada was moved into the Stror system for defensive purposes.

    • OOC: Sorry about not posting a lot. Something has happened in Real life, and I doubt I'll post much for a little while, and none very long.

      The Miranu fleet near the north tip station jumps to Raigar, though they doubted they could do anything, except add to the losses.

      Alenia had attempted to gather a fleet to take on the Igadzra, but was stopped by the Shaltrę. She was furious, they had made a promise, but when the whole Miranu people were put to a vote, they did not want to get the Azdgari systems at the expense of their lives. "Really, president, it was a stupid deal. We've always been on better terms with Igadzra and Zidagar in history, the Azdgari were little more than raiders to us."
      "That was not your decision, it was mine." was her angry answer.
      "Yes, but sometimes we can overrule you if the people support us. And they did. The Igadzra are too strong. We will attempt to protect our own systems, and the fleet that is at North Tip will go to Raigar. Any of the Azdgari people wishing to settle in our space is welcome. But out fleet would never have made it to Azdgari space, no matter what route they took."

      Alenia left, her anger stirring, but she sent her messages out dutifully. There would be a time when she would be able to overrule them in such a situation, and it would be even again, Usually the rulings were never so harsh, and never had made so side as angry as this one did make her.

    • The renegade fleet flee around the rim, towards Igadzra space, forced to pass through zidigar. I'll replace this with a real post when I get home. They send a message to the Igadzra that they are being chased by an Azdgari warfleet. They promise the data and information on arrival.

    • DSN-5495, Core of the Proxima Nebula

      The Alliance Discovery Fleet entered the system and immediately activated their cloaking devices. It was standard procedure in the Alliance Navy to do such a thing the moment the ships came into the system, as well as spin up the cycleswarm missile launchers in case any enemy was present in the system. No one was expecting a pirate or hostile forces this deep in the nebula, not unless they too had built NPD arrays of their own. Nevertheless, the fleet was on high alert the moment it came into DSN-5495, and it was thus ironic that the largest form of native life in the system was no larger than a rabbit.

      Commodore Lathe ek Daal, son of the Supreme Commander and just as capable, began issuing orders for the establishment of a colony in the system when it became apparent that the two moons orbiting the ringed world were habitable. He quickly renamed the system Outpost Daal, in honor of his father and himself, and the worlds within were likewise renamed. The green, gaseous world, which would be used to provide fuel for the Nebula-based defense forces, was named Corroda. The lush green, mineral rich moon was named Alka, while the one that passed between the rings of the uninhabitable world was named Mohl. Navy-level shield grids were established on Mohl so as to counteract the occasionally adverse weather conditions on that world, and defensive weapons grids, complete with basic inferno weapons that would be upgraded when the current research finished were also installed. The same was true for Alka. Soon a fully operable shipyard would exist within the confines of the Proxima Nebula. Alliance military efficiency was truly incredible and admirable.

      Somewhat disturbing was the detection of another human renegade base on teh outskirts of the northern edge of the nebula, from one point of galactic view. Pariah, the system was called. Lathe ek Daal moved out with 10 Warships, 10 Laziras, and 10 Aradas to dispatch this base and claim it for the Alliance as another shipyard as well. No pirates would remain in his area of space.
