Ladies, Gentleman, RMA, I hate to say It but the Zidagar are boring. Their ships are dumb and they have nothing cool about them. I also cannot start anything I need a template or someone to start for me. So soon I am going to die and if I am not realistically dead, I would like to become an independent trader or another species. Therefore, if the mods hate me enough I will keep to my self it is all right with me.

I am not quitting just because this war is getting a little easy. I was hoping to get an actual challenge somewhere else in this universe.

Xenocide, I'm growing tired of this. You lost an enormous amount of Zidaras in the first battle you engaged in with RMA. You seem not to have accounted for these losses. Also, these grappling hooks are never mentioned in any outfit of Zidagar ships. You never researched it. Therefore, they cannot be there. Before either you or RMA make another battlepost—one which uses the correct number of ships—I'd recommend the two of you get talking on AIM or whatever service you can find in common and work out the results of a battle. It's how stuff is done in the WDC, and it's how we'll avoid further dispute on this issue.

And, just for the record, I do not hate you Xenocide. What I dislike is the fact that you aren't being logical in these battleposts and aren't working by the rules of the webstory.

I agree completely with Solel. You have been OOC. You don't even take into account my message. You don't think about the battle posts at all. You need to give good details on your research for the Zidagar. You've commited a lot of COSTLY mistakes, and they are what will lead you to your downfall. Take some time off after this webstory and go learn how to write a good science fiction story. From what I've seen, you only responds to messages if they benefit you. You don't respond to messages that will not benefit you. You are rarely on AIM. You need to come on AIM more. Your shipyard Production need to be balanced. If you continue like this, then you will suffer the consequences and it will be universe-wide.

I would like to request a mod outcome of the battle in Chak. You need to take on all the advantages on both side, both ship wise and mentally, take into account both sides tactics and then deside the outcome. I am tired of bickering with RMA about how each side acts. So maybe Sole, Kauthor, and even Red should collaborate to come up with the outcome.

-Sole I assume that you read my personal post about how the singularity in Cresent Station, could be manipulated to have links to different systems. I just want to make sure that is ok. If you remeber I said that Cresent station was divided into 2 halves; the Azdgari and Cresent council sides. The station was basically the only thing that kept the jump open and it would be necessary to have a singularity in there.

Note: If the Iggys some how win the battle in Chak. My ships are given the command to set of the scoarched earth program. Gordontron took out the scoarched earth system in Cresent Station. All my operations, government officials, refugees, and the council members move to raigar if some how we lose the battle.

Actually, I don't like the Crescent Station jump maker. It sounds remarkably like you could just make a hyperlink to whatever system you want...so what's stopping you from, oh, sending a fleet to someone's undefended homeworld while their ships are all concentrated on the borders? Besides which, the description of the station in no way talks about this extraordinary capability. So, I'm afraid it'll have to be a 'no' on the Crescent Station hyperlink-maker.

On your request for a moderator-resolved version of the Chak battle, that sounds like an excellent idea. I'll speak with Red and Kauthor about it. If it's going to be done properly, though, I'd like to see complete technological rosters from both Gordontron and RMA. Just list all the different technologies you have and explain what you can use them for in battle, and how you'd be using them. Clearly state what strategy you would be using, so we can properly write the battle.

First off, Xenocide really is...insane. How the war is too easy for him when he's getting slaughtered I dont know. His battle post manages to ignore the fact he lost most of his Zidaras when I attacked. Is he delusional?

And to Rima, you've getting mixed up. I never said the Zidagar destroyed a Miranu station. I said they destroyed the Igadzra station that was the trading point with the Miranu.

Thirdly, as far as I knew the station in Kade was keeping somnething shut. What exactly the point is of leaving it there if it opened links I dont know. It'd be like leaving a loaded gun under a kids guard and telling them to ensure no one touched it.

And lastly could the Voinian player respond to my message?

The tinar fleet never jumped into Chak. All of those ships came from elsewhere. My fleet did not take on your fleet strait on but attacked the side of the disk where much less phase fire could and would reach. My forces were delaying, for days if need be, by zipping around and attacking the weak points, with dispersal rockets when it is easy, before zooming away between asteroids to lose the SADs.

Kauthor: You will not be able to produce Azdaras for a number of reasons: 1. You don't have the skill needed to build one. They are handcrafted not produced on a production line in case you forgot. 2.You do not have any pilots ready to fly them. Only Azdgari can fly them but I will train your pilots. 3.You do not have the right training methods.
I will send over a few representatives to help you but as of now you cannot produce them.

Question to mods: Could my modified Crescent Fighters (Strroka) get three jumps instead of two? They are based on higher engine technology then the Voinians previously had.

As for the battles in the north I believe that heavier rules need to be created. Every battle so far, anyone who attacked with any strategy won with minimal losses. I say we impose a first strike maximum kill level so battles are interactive and not massacres without one side getting to fight.

Well, going at the 'sides' of the sphere would have the same effect as going at the front of it. You'd end up having tons of phase fire and dispersal rockets hitting you. And If the battle went on for days, you'd find all of your capital ships dead, and your own ships dead froma ttrition. It'd be the only effect you'd have against the sphere. You wouldnt have the chance to do enough damage with that tactic before a unit withdrew into the inner sphere and its shields recharged.

Plus you still havent actually carried on the battle in Tinar. Thus as far as I'm concerned, it's been going on for about 2 minutes. You really are a very bad player.

As for your fleets, your own description indicated they where the ships from Tinar. Looking aty it again, I couldnt have taken it any other way.

And I thought I'd add up your fleet numbers...you manage to contradictate yourself in the amount of ships you have.

And to Paranoid, if you've been monitoring Zidagar transmissions from Stror or Sirabor, you'll have been hearing the Igadzra ones that arent encrypted.

Plus if I say the message is sent in Miranu as well, you'll understand it.

I will post more on my new research when I have time. The Strroka Carrier stats have previously been posted, as well as the factory expansion. It carries 12 fighters. The Factory builds 5 Carriers an RTD and 5 Strroka.

I never thought "typical shell formation" was a sphere. A shell is usually more of an elongated and flatter sphere so it would have sides. I can not think of a single sphereical shell. But if that it he way you want your fleet to act thanks for telling me. Further more I think that Tinar is an asteroid plagued system. If it is that would make it immposible for you to hold a sphereical formation without regrouping once and a while. Also my ships would not have to go into this "sphere" you could attack one extremity of the sphere before bouncing off. Think of a metal ball and then shining a laser of the edge of the ball. The light would hardly skim off the edge of the ball and if it went through it, it would not go into the sphere for more than a second or two.

In this case 'shell' is used to refer to the multiple layers of the sphere. Checking my own posts, I mention the fact it's a sphere several times. Tinar is not an asteroid plagued system, it has none in EVO. As for 'bouncing' off, that expects the sphere to be non-reactive. The Igadzra fleet is not a metal ball. I've said a few times the I.Aradas essentially skim around the sphere. They fight at the weak spots or where the fleet is being attack. And so you still havent carried on the battle in Tinar. And I beleive I'm the one who says if my fleet sits around for days.

And for your fleet numbers, I meant your fleet as a whole. You list more ships for each system than you say you have in total. Which figure is right? I always assume the total figure is right, since it's the easiest to keep track of. Just add and subtract the days gains and losses. It's much harder to muck up than how many ships you have in a system.

As for scaring you off webstories, good. You're not a good player. You'd ruin it for anyone who actually wanted to play fair. Since my first attack you've done your best to delay actually responding to me while moving the rest of your fleets to where you wanted them. I have zero patience for people who act like you do. While webstories need players, they dont need bad players. In this webstory it looks like both the Azdgari and Zidagar had bad players, which hasnt helped.

Defenition of a good player in a webstory: One who works for the enjoyment of everyone playing.
Defenition of a poor player in a webstory: One who attempts to destroy a webstory by making new players never interested in a webstory again due to annoying, self-righteous, obstinate people.

As far as I can tell this webstory was not upsetting anyone for the first few pages people were not angry or quitting. I can't understand why everyone can't enjoy themselves now.
RMA I salute your strategic skill, you are one of the best strategists on the boards, but this story is primarily new players, which may never play again. Destroying inexperienced people might be fun, but it is not nearly as fun as being able to beat experienced players, like Esponer perhaps?

If anyone wants to flame, or insult first time players take it up with me because I am capable of antagonizing back, politely though.

(No offense to anyone I might be calling inexperienced players, as far as I can tell Cresent is the best independent pilot I have ever played with, and Gordontron is playing at least as well as I am.)

Most people in this have done well. But I see no point in being nice to someone who's effectively cheating. It makes no difference if it is the first webstory someone's been in, they should at least have common decency and sense. I have zero tolerance for actions like Gordontrons. First 'error', well maybe it just was. But repeatedly? Just pisses me off.

And your definitions miss the fact that not playing fair and by the rules will ruin things massively. I didnt set out to 'make sure' players never play again, but if that's the end result after someones carried on playing badly, then I see no point in being sorry about it.

RMA I am sorry I got things wrong in the Tinar system. I agree, we should get a move on. It essentially is just a show down as far as my forces are concerned they are just buying time for the attack fleet, that took 1 RTD to reach Chak, if that is 4 game days (I forgot what we decided on sorry about that) then so be it. My forces only engage the sides of your outer sphere with all my ships every once and a while but (as far as I am concerned) neither side lost any ships. The Azdgari fleet would scream away and recharge while keeping out of range. If the Iggy fleet decided to jump then Gordontron would be notified and he would decide what to do, unless they went to Chak in which case they would follow whent he rest of the attack fleet is ready.

To mods: Prehaps you should notify Red for the battle of Chak. I will either need a replacement for Monday-Friday this week or I can not be attacked. I do not know many other people who would want to play so if anyone wants to volunteer that would be helpful. I have suspended all tech research and production until the battle of Chak is decided.

ok I thought you might not like hyperspace singularities. If I changed it to it accidentally happened so I could not do it would that be ok. In other words I can not control it it just happened by accident, and can not be repeated. I will asume that you do not like what I said above and do the following. Cresent station is still rigid with the schorched earth system, but the turret and targeting computer are disconnect from the station. If the schoarched earth system is set off then the turret will fire at any who enter the system.
