    • A few FH/FF questions!

1)Why did Emile choose to put the tach drive...in an old Type 12 Stratofighter instead of one of the newer fighters?
2)Why didn't Lars Sorensson (sp?) put a tach drive...in Jasta Hela's Cobra? He could've also installed the tach in a more modern fighter for himself, right?
I know I saw the Cobra in another plug (probably a cheater plug) for either EV or EVO, or in some shipyard on the web somewhere. I just wish I could remember where I saw it before. I think it was a purplish color (very pretty)!

    • I'm afraid I can't answer the question, but you could try reading the Frozen Heart novel for the answers. If you've already read it... well, sorry mate, you'll have to ask Turner himself.

      Hope that helps.

    • I believe the answer to the first question was because of money. It took a lot to make the drive(buying materials and such), and neither of them would have had much money to buy a better fighter. I could be wrong.

      1. Hmm, this may be an inconsistency between the novel and the plug, but I'm probably wrong somewhere. In the novel, Emile built the fighter from a DeskTop Engineering computer and there's no mention of an old Type 12, though I suppose it was possible. I think it was something Mr. Turner just added in the plug-in (or had in his mind already)...and I suppose Rima's right.

      2. Well, even if Lars could've recreated the tachyonic drive itself (he wasn't an engineer, but rather an archaelogist, though he probably could've gotten around that), he probably wouldn't have. It is a technology with powerful ramifications, and other parties probably shouldn't have it yet. Well, I think that again, Martin Turner can give you a better answer.

      3. You aren't talking about the Cobra fighter and Cobra interceptor in EV Game Expander, are you? Just a thought.

    • Nope. Sorry, Firebird! In FF, the Cobra is a cruiser-type of ship that carries fighter-bombers.
