    • Azdara vs Igadzra

Which would you rather fly? The Azdara has amazing speed and with dospect armour it's invincible, but the Igadzra is a capital warship with a lot of upgradable capability.

The Zidara is also in that league, but I think the most popular are the first two.
This is a little like arada vs FC debates, but a little more interesting, as the ships are vastly different yet both totally deadly in their own way.

Myself, I'd pick an Igadzra with an Azdara bay. That's the best ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Since I've been biased towards fighters for so long now...

Azdara. Maybe I'd just put the dospect and the shield generators on it and then lower the game speed to slowest so I could actually pilot the Azdara enough to hit the other ships :D.

But that's the thing, the Igadzra isn't really slow. It has considerable speed over the other capital ships, and with the Big Three it can really kick up a fair pace.

I'm split, really: the azdara is the most fun to play, but the Igadzra looks the funniest. (and is also a devastating warship, but that's pretty much irrelevant at this point).

I have an upgraded Igazra. I still consider it slow. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • The captial Igadzra, with Igadzra Beam. Capture it, then get a Plasma Siphon.
Blast Azdaras out of the sky. I don't remember which is better, the Zidgar Beam or the Igadzra Beam, but its the best of both worlds.
Die hard Azdara fan, but without proper upgrades, it can't stand a Plamsa Siphon.

    • it depends on what kind of system you're in; azdaras rule in an asteroid-infested area since most projectile weapons are useless. but in open-area combat, an igadzra can wipe out fleets easily. personally, i like azdaras 'cuz of their fantastic speed and they just look really cool. i hate orange.

      who's the good little insomniac...

    • Azdaras are weak little things that need constant piloting to be good. One hit of SAE and your shields are down to 15%. A Igazra again, can fight a Crescent Warship with primary weapons only and lose only 50% shields. Heck, upgraded with Dospect Armor and 25 SAEs I could even take out another Igazra which appears in the final mission of Explore the Proxima Nebula. First fire 25 SAEs, then fire Phase. I got my shields down, but I was alive. In fact, I survived the final Igadzra mission where you fight both Zidagar and Adzgari with primary weapons only. I thought Adzgari were too fast (probably I should have rethought of the Adzgari Arada. Its fast, but still hittable.) and Zidagar jam all secondary weapons. I got down to damaged armor, but I did it. The Adzara is the only fighter ive ever flown, but I still dont like the running.

I destroyed that in UE Cruiser, with blaze weapons and rockets.

Am I lucky? Was it a special Igadzra?

      Oh, and five UE fighters.

    • As I recall, I didn't like that Igazra in the nebula exploration missions very much. Normally, it wouldn't be too much of a problem, but I believe I was piloting a Miranu courier at the time, because I needed a ship capable of travelling far distances, and I'm sure you can imagine what happens when a Miranu courier tries to take out an Igazra (I outfitted it as best I could, and gave it as good a shot as I could manage, but I still ending up relying on hired Crescent Warship escorts to provide me with some cover.)

No, just usermodified with Dospect Armor. Yes, you were lucky. Blaze is far inferior to Phase in both accuracy and power. Rockets are powerful, but so inaccurate they can be dodged even in slow ship. Probably you used the UE Fighters to first damage it so much as possible. Heck, I tried 5 UE Fighters against Matt Burch(:eek ๐Ÿ™‚ to see how long they survived. I was amazed to see the effiency of UE Fighters: they had damaged it by 40%. So probably you distracted it and damaged it so much as possible, then used Rockets and Blaze.
