    • Turret Rockets?

I've completed the Paaren Station missions, and have access to Turret Rockets. However, I see no Turret Rocket Launcher. Do these launch out of a regular rocket launcher, or...?

    • The launchers come as equipment on the Voinian Cruiser and (I think) the Voinian Frigate. Don't quote me on the second one though.

I believe the Voinian frigate indeed uses a rocket turret also.

Rocket turret it may be called, it is not a true turret. The turreted rockets are simply ammo for the 90-degree sweep launcher.

Its not believe, it is. Cruiser just uses more launchers than the Frigate.

    • I thought I remembered seeing turreted rocket launchers in Voininan space, but I am not sure about it. Yes frigates also come with the turrets. I have lost many shuttles to those. 😉
Wow, Pooty. Not even 20 posts and already +1 karma. 🙂

    • to clear it up, a V. Frigate does come with one rocket turret. A V. Cruiser comes with 2.

    • Yes, you can buy turrented rockets, and launchers for them in Voinian space. You have to complete the first four missions in the Voinian mission string to be able to buy them, though. I don't know if they will go on just any ship, because I had room for one on my arada, but it wouldn't let me buy it. Or maybe the turrented rocket launcher takes up a turrent space, because I had all the turrents I could get, so that would explain why I couldn't buy it. It is possible to do the first three Voinian missions and then convert back to the UE side by going to the Emalghia and starting over from there ;), but the Emalghia get mad at you when you do the fourth (at least that's what happened to me).

If you do the entire Voinian string first you can still do both the entire Voinian defector/Paaren station string, the Dreadnought string, and the UE/Hinwar objective. If you do the Voinian defector string it cancels out the Voinian string. If you do the UE/Hinwar objective you can still get the Voinian mission string but you won't be able to complete it due to some of the systems changing hands.

This comes in quite handy. If you do the Voinian string and then the three UE strings (including the objective) you can get your hands on a UE Cruiser and equip it with Bronev plating. 100 extra armour units on a UE Cruiser is a very good thing.
