Well, if we're on that topic, for your combat rating, as I understand it, it goes up according to the number of crew members on the ships that you destroy, but do you still get the "kill count" if you disable them, board them and then trip the security wire? Or if your escorts kill them? 'Preciat'it

I'm not sure but I'll give you a tenative "Yes". If you use the plug "Super Crescent Warship" you will find that the Super Crescent Warship has enough crew members that if you destroy 1 your combat rating goes to ultimate. I beleive I disabled one (I fired it as an escort and then attacked) and took its fuel and what not and when I tripped it I still got the kill - but you'll have to double check that.

Hmm, I don't think that you do get the credit for the kill unless you make the final shot to destroy the ship, but I'm not sure. Either way, if you have cannons rather than turrets, you should keep on shooting when your target is starting to burn up - for some reason this seems to multiply what is added to your rating. This is especially useful with destroying bigger ships that take longer to blow up - you can get to competent by destroying about 3 Freighters that way :).

For Miranu Gunship missions, start at Outpost Zachit. Do the mission, then you will have to wait a while. You get the idea.
Now for the "Objective Completed". Go to Emalghia. Help them fend off a Voinian Fleet. Then land on the third planet. They will have you bring a message to Earth. Land on Earth, then check the bar, then go back to Emalghia. If your CR is Ultimate and Emalghia is high enough, they will ask you to join in an attack on Romit System. Land there, check the bar, go straight to Avann, destroy the Voinians, and then go to Outpost Alpha. Mission 1/2 done. Now, Go back to Romit System. The station. Check the bar, then a person will blab and blab about the Hinwar. Escort him to Gualon, then they tell you go to Krotun. Go to Krotun, then you have to get some soldiers. Go to Outpost Gamma. Check the bar. Commander will give you a team of marines. Go and capture the Station. Then Report to Outpost Alpha. Check the bar. Go to Luna and they will give you their gratuitude. Check the bar again, then go to Krotun and DESTROY ALL VOINIANS Ships. Land there and you are done.

There is also the salvo rocket launcher, and the phased beam turret which are not available in outfit shops, and the Igadzra beam (almost forgot that).

Well, unless you command a ship that has a higher count of crewmembers that would be able to overwhelm a number of crews onboard the dreadnaught when you try to board and capture it. But still, I doubt that there is any EVO ship that would have the capability to do it. Sorry to interrupt your conversation, I've just got a small question, How many Emelgian planets are there? I was thinking two, 'cos I went in Emelgia, and bought the regional map and I only see two planets that I dominated.
Are they further off or am I dreaming and they are right next to me?

There are a total of 4 planets I believe, Emalghia, Lmeito, and Gurado in the Emalghion system. In the Kelmaon system, just the planet of Kelmaon.
If you start the central objective, you will help the Emalgha gain another spob which would be the Ekiup station, but they will rename it the Ghammol station.
