I've been flying in my shuttlecraft for days search for Voinian missions, but to no avail. I would very much like to know where I could start such missions and fight for the Voinian cause (nothing personal to all you humans out there.)

No, I figured that if I accepted the UE missions, I would be unable (without great effort) to take missions from the Voinians.

I believe you can find the Voinian recruiting missions at Pax, in the Dogover System.

It is VERY POSSIBLE to get the Voinian Missions without doing the UE Shipping Missions. I should know. It will requires a Deadly or more than that Combat Rating. Once you have it, Check PAX, but it is very rare.

Do enough UE Shipping Missions with a Combat Rating of Mostly Harmless, and then you will get the rescue Defector mission in the bar. THen once you land in Pax, check the bar. If nothing's there, then jump one jumps, then come back. It might be there.

I know this is going to sound hokey, but here's a way to clear up your problem. Go to Pax. First, kill Voinian warships. Then kill some more. And, while you're at it, destroy a few more Voinian warships, wash, rinse, repeat. This way, you get your combat rating way up there, up to Deadly if you want to be sure of getting the mission. Don't worry that the Voinians don't like you blowing up their navy. When you get the mission (which you will with the combat rating), the Voinians clear your legal standing with them. Do no UE missions if you wish to be sure of getting the Voinian missions.
