it was hard. i had only blaze cannons. its shields were at about 20%.and the monty python trick works well.

i mastered the MP before i even found the boards. its by far, an easy tactic. i like to make fun of how stupid the Voinians are. i stand there shooting at it and it doesnt even pay attention to me. its like i was a fly.

That's a pretty pathetic assumption. I always beat the Dreadnought in a UE fighter, and I don't use the Monty Python (the closest I use is a rocket taunt, which is a far shot from cheating.)
I use exactly the same tactic as firestorm mentioned, and I even call it the spearhead tactic (although it's not as widely recognised as the Monty Python.) I never bother with rockets, though, as they just run out. That aside, it's a mostly unmodified UE fighter...
The trick to spearhead is to recover armour or shields while you fly away from them after each pass. UE fighters regenerate faster than the Voinian dreadnought point for point (as well as % for % by a long way), therefore as long as you have patience, it'll fall. I tend to only retreat when my armour gets below 30%.

Just thought I'd say, that's a bad boast. A light spearhead (done with eyes closed if you want) will take down an Igazra. There's very little in the business which is easier. Now, try defeating ten Igazras in a Crescent fighter. Spearhead gets a bit complicated when you find out the Igazra has the firepower to just get over your regeneration rate, and enough regeneration of its own to make periodic rests pointless.
Oh, and without Monty Python or Ghosting, too.

For the impatient gamer
Voinian Cruiser, with all the speed upgrades (including Azdgari Upgrade) it's faster than you think. And although I don't condone it, you can pyhton nearly any number of any type of ship without taking any damage And although my memory is a bit off, I think you still get 180 tons of weapon space after six neutron turrets and the fighter bay. Trust me, you can't find a way to fill that up (at least in any practical sense).
For those of you who've never tried this because they thought the V. Crusier was to slow, give it a shot, you'll be plesently suprised.
