The Horosk fighters were taken down one by one at each passage they did on small pack of fighters that had enough time to recharge their shield even with the constant fire of stalker missiles. Even behind their fence of defence drones, their were constantly blasted with missiles and plasma.
A second Teh’Rak fleet that had left Korellian III a few hours after NSI-4200. 34466 fighters entered right behind horosk warships that were not cloaked causing enormous damage and confusion in the enemy’s ranks. 1200 battleships fired at once on main carriers and frigates still surprised with some 11 000 Lions Spears, Dragons, Desecrators and Defilers. 2 000 Necromancers headed towards the Kayans and Azdgari warships with 3 000 missile boats. The fresh Teh’Rak forces made their way through the clouds of interceptors, fireflies, heavy fighters and Azdara firing madden anti-matter bolts and beam. Thorium, plasma, and secondary were cutting through the native and aliens of the LMC.

Syter

The Pirate fleet had been surprised by the arrival of the new offensive fleet of the AIR, but their loose formation had prevented many lost from the shield drones and the blast radius of many kamikaze. The tactic to survive was to shot a few missiles at an Azdara and then it would explode in a chain reaction that would make it wing-azdara also explode safely and farther from the Pirates fleets.

The fighters then headed towards the Igazra and defensive carriers to wreck them even more and make sure they do not survive one more second. Under that much fire, many Pirate squadrons escaped the vigilance of the AIR and came from behind their lines, causing massive damage with rockets, missiles and primary. While the suffering capital ships continued their attack on the Azdgari Laziras, Aradas, kamikazes, Igazras with many many secondary.

Harad

The seven thousand ships were obliterated by the Strand League’s one hundred thousand ships, their effort to save the colonization of the planet were useless and the commander ordered to retreat to Cheble.

Cheble

The outpost was now completed. It could now supply the T.R.S.A. with ships and armament. The ground defence was provided by one million T.R.W.A. equipped to face any attack (bio, nuclear, chem) at any moment. All battle groups from Korellian IV were there to provide a first line of defense against the Strand League or any indirect attack from the Horosk or Azdgari. Death Ray battle platform is also there.

OOC to Esponer : Since we're both part of the Galactic Community, full knowledge of each other's military and construction projects sounds reasonable to me.

The Kayan Senate recieved the message from the Strand League, and quickly forwarded it to the Engineering Corps in charge of the supercruiser project. They looked over the offer, and after careful consideration fashioned a reply:

On behalf of all of us participating in the Kayan Supercruiser project, we thank you for your offer to share with us your shipyards and/or their schematics. The schematics for the shipyards you use would be of immense help to us, as we have very little experience building shipyards capable of building cruiser or supercruiser class vessels.

In regards to the Igazrada, we realize that it is among the more powerful vessels in the entire galaxy, and would very likely have chosen it for our supercruiser project had we not already begun altering the Azdgari Supercruiser plans before the formation of the Galactic Community. On the contrary to what you might think, we are deeply honored that you would be willing to give us access to such a powerful vessel as the Igazrada. On a related note, if you would like to work together to combine the best of our two races' technological know-how to improve the Igazrada beyond its already powerful current specifications, our scientists and engineers are at your disposal - all you need to is ask.

Also, if you would like to have our engineers re-design the schematics of any of your vessels to include Tachyonic Shields, again, all you need do is ask. You've provided so much for us, both in terms of technology and military support in holding off the Akrahd, it's the least we can do in return.

8th Horosk Carrier Battle Group - Var'Neth
The Main and Light Carriers, stayed safe in sub-space fold, having no place in a long range battle. The Akrahd attempt to attack the Horosk fleet from behind failed miserably. The Akrahd didnt even know which bit of the system the Horosk where in, and the Horosk had had plenty of warning from the frigate pickets in the surrounding systems.

The Akrahd fighters, simply, fared badly. They where faced with larger numbers, and more powerful individual ships, with primaries longer ranged than those the Akrahd had, all beams with 360° fire. When they had retreated into the main Kayan formation, they vanished into stealth and began shooting down almost every munition that managed to get a lock on them.

Then the Admiral running the battle, recieved information of Admiral Jani incoming with his Phoenix Battleship and a host of Horosk ships that would triple the Horosk forces insystem.

And soon, the 9th Horosk Carrier Battle Group would arrive in the LMC, and deal a blow to the Akrahd once and for all.

The Azdgari and Pirate forces are simply chaotic... Azdaras and Pirate fighters... Igazras and pirate warships... Once again, the pirates are terrified by a reading on their radars... seems that two large azdgari fleets are en route.
The battle continues, with the pirates fighting even more hastily. Suddenly, the radar image becomes sharper. Not two fleets, but two ships.... two Supercruisers.
The gigantic ships jump in, each releasing firepower easily twice as strong as the azdgari fleet... Shield drones and SAE fly, destroying pirate waves one by one. The smaller fleet takes advantage of the loose pirate fleet structure, and gangs up on isolated pirates, overwhelming ships in a matter of seconds.

Var'Neth
Air forces engage shield rams, and charge the enemy, not to kamikaze, simply to use the shield ram as it was truly meant to be used. The scene of Azdgari ships bouncing off of akrahd ships is comical, but with major results... high damage is taken, with the shield rams blocking most of the enemy weaponry.... Another small fleet of 300 Igazras jump in, just for safe measure...

The Voinian fleet, which was surrounding the Ediens, now charged into them, weapons blazing. Some severely damaged cruisers rammed enemy ships before they died. Anti-matter flux cannons sprayed fire on the Edien shisp, ripping through their hulls.

But then the Ediens, regrouping their forces, punched through the wall of Voinian ships, and surrounded them as well. The Voinians, caught in this trap, decided they had to get out of it.

Instantly, all Voinian ships cloaked. The Ediens, now somewhat used to this, took up battle positions and prepared to fight. The Voinian fleet decloaked all on one side, and then, with all weapons blazing at full power, the charged directly into the Edien fleet, raming ships, ripping through hulls. The Ediens were losing the battle, and fast.

The Ediens, knowing they were defeated, immediately punched through the Voinians lines and hyperspaced out. The Ediens of the ground were already evacuated, leaving behind not much of use for the Voinians.

The Edien fleets were immediately sent to Edien Prime, where the three Edien Dreadnoughts were waiting; the Armageddon , the Surtur , and the Tiamat. The Dreadnoughts had just emerged for the first time from the black Raemos Nebula, where they had been built and wrought by the most powerful shipyards and factories the Ediens had created. The dreadnoughts were the most powerful warships the Ediens had ever devised, their enormous hulks having taken years to mold, grow, and fasion.

Now that they had emerged from their firey birthplace, the Ediens were now planning to use them to preserve their race. In order to make sure the empire did not collapse completely, the Ediens needed to cripple their enemies, and the devices that the Ediens would use would be their dreadnoughts. Soon, the escort fleets of the dreadnoughts would be fully assembled, and they could strike out against their enemies...

The Lavrii are working on integrating the Miranu Defence Pod with the Anti Shield Torpedo to create a new weapon that will bring death to the Akrahd. While it does slightly less damage than the Defence Pod, the Talon has a small blast range, and will disrupt shields in the same manner as the Anti Shield Torpedo. It launches in pods of three.

Pirate Governance

Syter

When the Pirates realized that two fleets were coming, they started to warm up their hyper engines to get out of this hole as soon as possible. They did so as soon as the two cruisers came in, barely damaged by their weapons, not very abundant. They headed towards Callble and Yorbro to repair and be ready for a new assault on the enemy.

Still, five thousand pirate ships made their way to one of the cruisers all weapons ablaze, ripping its shields at a frightening rate. Though the Azdari cruiser fired on them, they continued by only responding to azdara and arada fire, the only ships capable of reaching them. The fighters, escorters, corvettes, gunships were ready to scarify themselves to get rid of one of them.

Now the Alliance with the Akrahd Teh’Rak had been finalized, Vandet Ta was capable to prepare a better short term future, as long as the Azdgari and Horosk could leave him alone for some time. The Akrahd had gave them all their weapons technologies , which might be useful at some point. The pirate scientists had found flaws in the Ally’s weapon systems and started to work on them to make sure they do not become out dated too fast. The alliance include a clause of trading technology discovered on each side, so they would also receive the TEP.

Now they were working on thoron systems that will provide more energy to the plasma particles of the rail guns, make them move at a faster speed and a much greater range. Since some of these system are the same used in the Hail and Storm torpedo for the warhead (the micro-plasma generator), it will also increase the power of the secondary weapons. (6 posts RD + 3 outfit)

The sixty thousand ships in Korellian were transferred to Caple and started to mine NSI-825 with gravimetric mines -I do not know it the pirates have something like this- to protect a northern intrusion. Afa was under constant patrol to show who was master of the north-east LMC.

Teh‘Rak Governance

Var‘Neth

The last Teh’Rak wave of missiles and torpedo had hit its targets, the three hundred new igazra and made catastrophic damages: the coordinated attack made them blow up almost immediately. Though the shield ram of the azdara was constant, many of them we knocked out with successive hits of anti-matter battery’s shots and beams from everywhere. When ramming into a tight pack, the wall of shield disintegrated the azdara or made it bounce 180 degree, leaving the pilot with a lethal concussion to deal with during the battle. Arada were under the fire to multitudes of fighters, while Kayan guships and drones were eliminated under the constant fire of the heavy fighters, fireflies and interceptors.

Akrion III

The final tests for the anti-matter weaponry are completed and were perfect. The anti-matter canons and batteries are now able to destroy any weapon that pass by an anti-matter particle.

OOC:I have a a small complaint about the anti-matter weaponry. The range has almost tripled, ontop of a large firepower increase. Even I havent gone for that much more range in a single generation.

8th Horosk Carrier Battle Group - Var'Neth
The simple weight of number against the Akrahd was begining to tell. The Akrahd fleet was being battered. Any and all detachments which got just slightly out of the main Akrahd fleet vanished under a storm of Horosk Interceptors, unable to stand up to the firepower, unable to resist the numbers, unable to even hit them due to their speed and weaponry.

8th Horosk Carrier Battle Group - Afa
The system, abandoned by the Pirates, had been claimed by the Horosk, along with Levti. Currently, it was useless, infrastructure having been mined to prevent use. But holding the Afa system would stop any more Pirates escaping to Akrahd space

9th Horosk Carrier Battle Group - Rigel
'This is High Admiral Nemir to the Kayans. We are proceeding to the Var'neth system to provide support to our forces. We wish you well.'

3 large ships vanished from the Kayan sensor networks, along with tens of thousands of other ships. The Akrahd would soon regret the day they had ever met the Horoth, and thus the Horosk.

MOD: Ne Demord, tone down just a little bit on the upgrade to your weapons. Maybe like 5 less armor damage and 5 less shield damage, as well as 95 range instead of 110. Also, how long did you take to research this upgrade?

And RMA; please remember that you ARE beating up the Teh'Rak considerably, so cut Ne Demord a little slack. And RMA, where are you engaging the Asani Pirates?

And, uh, bad news. On Monday, I'll be leaving for Maine. Now, I guess I can leave this story open because it goes slow enough for me to keep up, though don't expect streams of posts from me. I'll post when I can. Also don't expect me to get on AIM at all. I'll be back around July 12th or so.

I dont mind upgrading weapons, but I didnt know we could improve range so much. I just think that almost tripling the range is a bit much, when the norm is about 10-20% extra range.

The Supercruisers arrived, took the otherwise intence volley of pirate weapons, and shrugged it off. Barely any damage was done. (Note: The Mod's are upgrading Supercruiser stats to make them more realistic to how I'll be writing now)Each Supercruiser let out a proportionatly more intense wall of fire towards the pirate scum, incinerating the closest pirates and damaging a couple hundred...(Note: Supercruiser's turrets is closer to 60-70... secondaries.. still pending, but sufficient)

The Pirates then decided to kamikaze their ships directly into the supercruiser's shields, hoping to take it out by sacrificing their own lives... The fleet, as one, charged into the weakest supercruiser with all the speed they could muster, and a gigantic fireball engulfed the supercruiser as the pirates crashed into it from all sides.
As the flame subsided, the pirate fleet was nothing but debri...
and the Supercruiser was still strong... Heavily damaged, mind you, but shields were still up, and armor was unscathed... REDchigh was transferred to the damaged one, and it returned to Azdgari space, while the one left powered up it's tachyonic generator to hold off pirate retals while it's shields finished charging...

Var'Neth
After an hour, the Azdgari's generators were overheating, and the Rams had to be turned off. The damaged Igadzras that just jumped in held their rams on full, and charged the enemy. Although there were only about half as many left, their generators continued to overheat, and they kamikazed into the nearest pirate warships, with a couple dozen exploding from reactor meltdown, showering a moderate blast radius with shield-damaging reactor radiation and debri.
The remaining ships charged, guns ablaze, doing all the damage they could. A few Laziras, after a quick comm to the Kayans present, latched onto some Kayan defense drones with energy ropes, and towed them toward the heart of the pirate fleet... Although the Laziras had to shut off weapons and reroute all power to engines, the defense drones did massive damage after they were moved amidst pirate vessels.

Azdgari Command
As the supercruiser docked at an orbital shipyard for repairs, a shuttle was waiting to transport Angien and Redchigh to the planet surface...
REDchigh and Angien made the trip in complete silence... no talks of strategy, no casual conversation.. they both just admired each other.. a slight glazed look in their eyes.
They were distracted when they landed, when several low admirals were complaining about their dissappearence. They explained that the pirate menace had to be taught a lesson.
They were then casually escorted to the science corps, where a strandless named Sare addressed them..
"We just got strand technology from the Galactic Community, our Arada upgrades are complete, as is the Phased Neutron beamer research..."
"How strong is the beamer we developed?" Red asked...
"As strong as can be expected. The prototype needs some adjustments, but so far it doesn't have any fuel drain."
"Good... what technologies did we get from the SL?"
"Duelbeam, disc launcher, we got every one of their techs."
"WE GOT DUELBEAM? Great... we have no use for our phased beamer we just developed..."
"Yes, sir, we do. Our beam has a much longer range..."
"Well then, not a complete loss, huh. The Supercruiser is currently undergoing repairs... I want the one above us to undergo a massive refit. Phased beamer turrets, Duelbeam turrets, disc launchers, yes.. scrap the SAE we have. Replace it all with SAI and disc launchers....Upgrade the arada first, do everything you can to it."
"Yes, sir."
"Oh, and dispatch a frigate squadron and freightors to Syter... I want a stronghold there."

We thank you for your offer involving the Igazrada - we are, in fact, currently upgrading our fleet systematically. However, we won't begin on the IGNA until we have completed various new weapon designs: the thoron siphon and hyper-velocity rocket. When we begin upgrading the Igazrada, we would welcome your help.

At the moment, we are upgrading the Zidara and Zira to accomodate anti-fighter rockets and a more effective weapons balance. Tachyonic shielding would be very useful on both designs, and if it would not be seen as pushing you, we would ask that you send subassemblies for the shields for the upgrade. We will immediately cancel our requests for reinforced tritanium plating to be built on our worlds so the shielding will have effect.

Apologies for taking up your time, but I have been performing some various experiments, and I was wondering if a composite crystaline armour structure - most likely made up of kyhdronium, used for the magnification of energy in kyhdron beamers - would fare any better on Kayan vessels, and not stand in the way of the shielding. Uhhhh... Well I can tell you that I got the name from the Khyadrian Crystals that the Protoss used in Starcraft. I spelled it wrong a lot, and one of them gave me the idea of the word Khydron.
