The way I did it is really cheezy, but it doesn't include the Monty Python. Whatcha do is go and be best freinds whith the Azdgari(is that how you spell it ) and then go buy yourself a shiny, new, UE Cruiser. Next, you go to your pals in the crescent, and buy an azdgari fighter bay. Stuff it full of the fighters. Then, go back to UE space (dang this takes up alot of fuel! ), sell your blaze crud and hunter missle launcher. Buy 5 neutron turrets and as many rockets as you can hold. Get the mission and go into the system. When the voinian intercepters come out, disable but don't kill 'em. When all of your wimpy UE Escorts are gone, target the thing and launch all of your azdgari and fighter escorts, the azdgari are weak, but should draw most if not all of the fire. Pump all of your rockets into it untill you've exahusted the supply of rockets both on you and on the disabled interceptors. When this happens, spearhead(you do know what this means, right?) the ship with turrets blazing. You'll lose some escorts, but if you keep calling them back and sending em right back out, your UE fighters will keep resupplying their rockets, and the azdgari sheilds wont deplete.

You considered buying a fuel scoop,did'nt you? Or did those Azdras cost too much?

Well, if your gonna go be friends withe Azdari, there is a much more economical way to do it. Instead of using some primitive, slow UE ship like the cruiser, you could just buy one Azdara and do it from that.

If you want a little challenge you could even do it without swapping the weapons to blaze/neutrons.

Yah, it takes a while. Pity you can't see armor percentages like in Nova, then at least you could see how you were doing.

I do not like using cheats, the forklift or the mp since it melts down the pleasure of success as it is almost not you that piloted well enough to get rid of the enemy. Patience is the only thing you need and the understanding of your past mistakes so you do not repeat them.
