Perhaps the most notable change (which may very well change how you'd play the game), is that almost all fighters now have infinite afterburners, meaning that with a ship that should be faster, you'll still be outrun. I haven't played Override since I upgraded to 1.0.2, and since I can't find a copy of 1.0.0 lying around, I probably won't again. Where's the fun in being a Crescent Fighter pilot if even with speed upgrades another Crescent Fighter will move faster than you?

There were somethings I missed in 1.0.0 like able to buy up mass expansions and cargo pods so I would be able to crank up my mass space and be able to stash in alot of items and weapons but darn that version 1.0.2 for taking that ability away.

1.0.2 makes Monty Pythoning harder, though by no means impossible. It adds a few tweaks that are used in modern plugs, so running them under 1.0.0 can give you problems.
There's an outfit you can win in a mission that increases your effective crew size... nice for improving your capture odds, especially if you fly a fighter!
In 1.0.2, a turret weapon also occupies a gun slot. Thus, a ship that is listed as having capacity for four guns and three turrets can actually mount only three primary weapons, not seven. The shipyard stats of several vessels have been modified to suit the new system... though the Lazira comes out pretty badly off. Less weapons than the cheaper Arada.
Several kinds of guided weapons seem to circle endlessly, failing to press home their attack. SADs and needle missiles seem particularly poor. There may be a bug fix for this, but I don't have it.
