So we've got a little problem here. I've lost all backup copies of Saber Studios, including the server file. But regardless, I still intend to put all the SS content (primarily graphics) back online through (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")EVula's(/url) website, the (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")Lair(/url). I will no longer be running the website myself, but you can instead download the files at one of many (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")EVula service stations(/url) near you once everything is worked out. But I'll need everyone's help; anyone who has content that you downloaded from Saber Studios. If you do, I would request that you send these files to the SS backup address:

We don't want any copies, just original files in the same condition as you found them when they were downloaded. Ships (complete with all the comm, shipyard, 3/4 and top sprite, icon, 3/4 and top masks), Outfits (again complete with all graphics), 3D models, textures, planets, landscape scenes... anything! We want to make those graphics available for the community once again. We'll even accept the old Azdara and Zachit ship sets, if anyone still has them.

Best Zachit ship? We both liked the Zachit fighter from what I remember... and the Aradis (modified Arada).

Ohhh... you talking about the Ardaza? The ship that looked similar to the fighter, yet was larger?

You never visited SS while the Rebel / Confederation ships were around? Those didn't come along until the massive website update late last year.

By the way, what's your interest in webstories not by you? I don't directly mean the Ultima Trilogy (RoC) or Horizon Series, just in general.

Heh, the Rebel and Confederation ships were available for months. Finished about 8 for both sides, with a total of 15/20 planned.

Generally, I don't like getting involved in webstories which aren't my own, as they usually require hours upon hours of research and reading in order to find out what on earth it's about. If I plan them, then I know what's going on. If a webstory is layed out well, then I'll sometimes join them.

Well, check the page now: We're pretty much done. Now I only need the landscapes, the planets, the TIE Fighter model, and some more textures. Basic is exactly what I had in mind for the EV Webstory. But once I handed the project over to Rak, I did get worried that things were going to get complicated, and make the webstory jumbled for newcomers. That's exactly what happened...

A joint effort for an EV Webstory would be a cool idea... sounds like a nasty member combination.

EVula: List is looking good! Are all the ship files you've received complete with all eight graphics (both types of sprites and masks, comm, target, shipyard, and icon)? Just curious...

Sorry to drag this topic up, but I needed to ask the good Captain something, and I think we've had just about enough "ATTN: Skyblade"s clogging the boards. This is, also, a vaguely appropriate topic for it.

Skyblade; I gather you've recovered most of Saber Studios now, and you have summer coming up (or already there?), so...if you have any spare time, would you mind doing a talentless old bugger a favour?

Don't tell Carnotaur this, but I'm working on the plug-in for Silver Horizon, and it's going well so far (although the maximum figures of 32767 or so definately complicate things). I've done half of the second galaxy in systems, half of my space down to the descriptions and such, and I've made my ships as far as stats are concerned. I'm now very stuck on my ships' graphics.

Before you scream, my government is a Zidagar/Igadzra mix, and the graphics are thus ones that you'd eventually do anyway as part of Saber Studios (I think).

So...err...how would you feel about putting Zidagar and Igadzra ships a little higher on the agenda? The ships I have in SH are the Zirada (Zidagar fighter), Zidara, Zira (proper warship), Izar (Igadzra Arada), Irada (Lazira-y size), Izagra (Igazra-y size) and Igazrada (very very big ship - dreadnought), in case you might actually be interested.
