The hell it does, true it places more demand on the system than it would on a mac but most decent PCs are up to it. My laptop has a p500 processor and 64mb RAM with Basilisk II installed, it runs EV and EV:O just fine.
It doesn't take up much HD space either, mac programs are generally a lot smaller than their windows equivalents due to more elegant programming, so I'm told.
And emulators aren't difficult to install either, just follow (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/game_master107/howtoemulateamac.html")WarBeast's(/url) simple instructions.
For the record, I firmly believe that macs are superior to PCs, however it is a very blinkered view to assume that the emulation of mac games is a bad thing. Remember that not everyone who uses a PC does so by choice (although granted they often do so through ignorance).
