Early on in the game, (1) I spared the life of the thief, and (2) went wandering over most of the map without ever talking to the gal in Fantrima. During this period I wandered into the cave and met the guy wno apparently is this Mesera (tho he never identified himself). He thanked me for sparing his buddy's life and gave me the Awareness thing. Cool!
But then later I did talk to Mary Kristina, rescued her harp, and she tasked me with finding Mesera in the Perugo forest, a job that stumped me until I found hints on this board (very deceptive, being in a cave when he's said to be in a forest, grump).
Thing is, I still have that quest on my scroll and can't get rid of it. Revisiting the cave where Mesera lives does nothing - he just says, "thanks again, generous explorer" or such. So am I stuck with this remnant task forever?
