    • Pssst! Hey, Buddy! Wanna Buy Some Armor?

From all of the support web pages etc., I know that there are two kinds of armor. My problem is that I cannot find any for sale!?!?! I know that Dospect is supposed to be available in Voinian space and Paaren but not that I can see. I've done the Hinwar mission strand - if that is required.

Oh, and where might the Strand mission start?

      Any tips?

      Thanks!

    • You must reque the Voinian Defector and finish the mission string. Goto Knox I think.

    • Or have the Paaren Station mission string finished. You'll be able to buy all Voinian tech there.

    • Not all of it. Rocket Turrets and Bronev Plating you can't get from the Paaren Station string, neither can you get the Voinian ships.

There is a plug-in that gives you all the Voinian techs at Paaren Station, but I haven't played Override in a long time, so I can't remember who made it or what it was called.

    • Well if you've done the Hinwar part of the UE string, you should have already finished Paaren Station - if not, that's interesting, and I didn't realise it was possible :).

But anyway, after the original delivery to Paaren Station, you should have got 4 more from the mission computer, and then got another mission from the bar - anywhere in UE space I believe - telling you to rescue the Voinian defector again, from a shuttle in Chorca, and take him to Knox. After that you go to the completed Paaren Station and can buy Dospect Armour from there, along with Neutron weaponry and, now pointless, turreted rockets.

    • And for Bronev armor, get the plugin that gives you all Voinian tech at Paaren station, or, do it the good old-fashioned way and complete the Voinian main objective.

    • Only Dospect Armor, the Neutron Cannon, and the Neutron Turret can be bought at Paraan station. But before you do that, you must complete the Voinian Defector Mission string. Go to Earth to get that, I believe. In the end, they will ask you to transport the Defector to Paraan Station, and at that point the outfits become availible for purchase.

Bronov Plating, Turreted Rockets, and Voinian Heavy Fighters (for the bay) can only be purchased after you have completed several missions for the Voinians. To get them, go to Dogover (the station where both the Voinians and UE visit).

Same goes for all their ships (the frigate, cruiser, heavy fighter, and interceptor); you must complete their missions to get them. Not possible to get them at Paraan at all.

Hope that's been helpful to you.

    • And for the strand missions, each Strand's mission string starts in a different place, but to get any of them you must first go to Mira after doing the Voinian Defector, and do that little string. Afterwards, you can either go to Kaiya, in the South Tip, for the Azdgari missions, one of the northern Zidigar systems for the Zidigar string, and the system above the one where you do the ski resort string (hey I haven't been on EVO for like threee months so I can't be too specific) is where you start the Igadzra missions. For the Zidagar missions, you'll need a decently powerful ship with at least 20 tons of cargo space, for the first Igadzra mission you'll need a 1-day jump ship (anything smaller than a Zidara), for the Azdgari mission you'll need a pretty fast ship, and for all of them you need to have a combat rating of Dangerous or better, I believe. And I think you also need to be in good standings with the Strand you'd like to work for, but I'm not sure.

You don't have to rescue the defector. In fact, you can even do it if you are pro Voinian.

I think you're right, but there is some stuff that you can't do if you do the Voinian Missions. Not sure what exactly though...

The human renegade missions aren't on the list of unable to do, but the Emalghia missions and UE military missions are.

Well, believe it or not, but I think I was able to do both the UE/Emalgha missions AND the Voinian missions, but don't ask me how I did it.

And I think that, if you do the Voinian missions, you can't do the Zachit missions (I think).
