Hey all, I'm looking for mesera in the forest - found the cave and got to the point where he says he's pissed i killed his brother but then after killing the thieves, I can't find him... I've stepped on the two stones in the cave - one opens the gate where the thieves are, but I can't figure out what the other one does...

He was the red thief, the first button opens the gate, when you walk into the thief area, the gate closes, the second button lets you back out. If you killed his brother, which you did, you get the scroll you need from the chest near the button, bring that scroll back to the girl that taught you the path finding skill.
