Zin: "As many of us are aware we had recieved a messge from a race claiming to be the 'Azdagari'. They come with both a warning and an offer of help: A warning about a race known only as 'United Earth' and help in both defeating the hated Voinians and the UE. The question is: can we trust them? Admiral Tubel, I belive you have some thoughts on this point.
Tubel: "Thank you Arch-Prefect. As to whether the Azdagari are trust worthy, I must ask only this: What is in it for them? They are obviously a race with technology far in advance of our own, and it is obvious that they must have a far greater empire than our own, if indeed you can call two planets an two moons an empire! So why do they seek to aid us? They are clearly enemies of these 'United Earth', but also offer to fight the Voinians. Why is this? Personally I do not belive that we can trust them, though angering them could prove suicidal. I suggest that we learn of the true intents of the UE before making another enemy."
Zin: "Alas, we have no ship capable of breaking through the Voinian front in order to reach whatever may lay beyond."
Geram: "Lord Prefect, if I may be so bold; As minister of Alien affairs can I suggest a different line of enquiry? The Miranu have trade contacts throughout the galaxy. It's possible that they might have encountered these UE. May I suggest we send an envoy to Mira to enquire about these UE?"
Zin: "Well spoken Geram. Order a fighter be prepared for this voyage. Any objections from the Council? Good. Hail the Azdagari ship and tell them we are concidering their suggestion and will reply in 3 standard weeks.

OOC: The Igadzra/Adzgari ceasefire hasn't started yet- the azdara just proposed it. The Emalgha dont know the Miranu exist yet, but your post can stand. The Azdara notices a fighter rise up from the planet, obviously set for a travel, since it is decked out with fuel scoops. The Azdara pilot isn't stupid, so it sends a message to Adzgari Command, telling them to send 2 warships to Western Miranu space to prevent the Emalgha Fighter from reaching the miranu......

An Azdara reaches south-Voinian space, and notices a highjacked Voinian Frigate fighting another frigate. The Azdara helps the highjacked frigate, and notices that it is piloted by a strange alien. After some short talks, it is discovered that this new race is the "Hinwar"- a race enslaved by the Voinians. The Azdara lands on a Voinian planet that matches the description the hinwar pilot him, and as he speaks with the hinwar rebels, a toothy grin spreads across his face.. an evil grin...

This guy's not bad. Half bad, but still, not bad...ESPilot thought to himself. The misison wouldn't be too hard. He knew a little bit about the Voinians from his encounters with the Emalgha below the North Tip—Aha! The Emalgha....With the UE's help they could soon develop more advanced technologies, and possibly even the battle against the Voinians. "Your mission will be taken care of, rest assured. Now, I have something to tell you. In the northwestern sector of Voinian space, there is a race called the Emalgha. They are primitive, and were easily enslaved by the Voinians. But they broke free, and are now fighting a losing battle against the Voinians. I propose that the United Earth send some ships to investigate. How's that strike your fancy eh? Well, consider it and get back to me later." Without wating for an answer he went to the door. It was locked. He looked at the keypad beside it and pulled a device from his belt, and plugged it into the pad. The device itself was strapped to a tiny keypad, with which he tapped some buttons, and the door opened. He clipped the device back to his belt and proceeded to the dock.

Kelmoan system. Human Renegade fleet of 25 Turncoats and 30 Helians vs 30 Emalgha Warships and 40 Fighters.

As the Human Renegades jumped out of hyperspace, the Turncoats began to immediately release SAD's against the Emalgha fighters, destroying 8 with the first salvo. Helians took up defensive positions, protecting the Turncoats, ready to use Dispy. Rockets against any fighters that came their way. Needle missiles also poured out of the ships, destroying another 4 Emalgha fighters. Kraits flew out of the Turncoats, going around the sluggish Emalgha ships and hitting the warships from behind in a massive swarm. The space ahead of the Kraits was pure red, filled with blaze fire. After taking out 3 warships the Kraits swooped back, getting ready for another pass.

They'd have to research them from the beginning, and it would take nearly 12 posts. 16 for a cloak that didn't deplete shields and 24 for one that didn't deplete shields and you could fire weapons under. none of them would be completely effective, and as for your mines, 10 times the losses is confusing. Everyone understands the power of the mines, and if someone doesn't factor in the right number of losses, I'll moderate.

Scientists have been practising with several different methods of utilising the phased beamer technology into a much more powerful beam that doesn't drain energy, but they can't find a crystal with the correct makeup. They have several of the crystals the Zidigar use, but they overload under heavy stress. Maps of the Molecular structure of the perfect crystal is sent to all the Azdara's patroling, and all begin broad sensor sweeps searching for a similar crystal. Suddenly, the azdara in human renegade space has a match...
It tracks down the signal, and is led to a freight-courier piloted by two humans- a male and a female. The Adzgari disables and boards the vessel, and finds the female is actually carrying 3 crystals on her! They are attached to her 3rd finger, held on by a yellow-ish metal. The Azdgari quickly slaughters them both, and takes the crystals.

The Azdara sends a message to the Human Renegades before leaving for adzgari space.

I will be back, but for now, I must leave. I'll be back, the Azdgari are still on your side.

Payback: A couple minor problems with your post. First: I'm not done even researching the generators, so it would be hard for you to steal them. Second, these generators were specifically meant to be kept out of Renegade hands. If you want to steal them, we have Zacha that can take care of you. What I mean is, make a post about how exactly you steal the plans for the generators.

The SDD obviously needed a good research place. Their silos right now on (CENSORED) were far too obvious. Renegades could come right in and steal the generator plans. All the researchers were loaded onto a patrol fleet of Crescent Fighters, as well as a Lazira to hold construction workers. The fighters than took off, one at a time, and headed for a rather large asteroid in Smott, as far from the Renegades as possible...

Once there, the Lazira unloaded the construction workers (in space suits, of course), who began constructing a very secret, very well-defended research base.

Unfortunately there were problems with the cloaking device. So the dagger was canceled. In its place began the Peregrine project. The Peregrine fighter was a modified krait, armed with dispy. rockets along with the normal blaze cannons. It also had increased shielding and armor, so that it wasn't blown to pieces at the beginning of the fight. It was a little slower and less manueverable because of the added weight, but not much more so.

Since this is a webstory for newbies as well, maybe some things veterans assume to be second nature people just starting out, like me, may not understand. RED, you still never answered my question. If I'm a Renegade, can I still research stuff on my own and how the hell am I supposed to defend myself or do anything if everyone shoots me on sight and I have no research and barely any ships? And I still don't understand this whole shipbuilding thing.

I didn't join this webstory just to let the people I control be beaten to a pulp without having any means to fight back.

And I would love to make contact with the Voinians, but Redeye hasn't shown yet.
