The freak ponders Esponer's words and begins to wonder whether this bar serves watered drinks.
Funding for the hotel on New Taranto is not forthcoming; various players and kibbitzers start muttering things like "Don't you have to build four houses first?" and "This is a capitalist game, ya moron."
The freak, beginning to feel the effects of the drink at last, pulls out a nasty-looking blaster and starts firing at some imaginary zoning authorities.
A disembodied arm confiscates the freak's blaster, which, upon closer inspection, turns out to be a water pistol loaded with Orange Crush.
The Orange Crush that has spilled on the floor mixes with some forgotten hors d'oeuvres and Voinian dandruff; the mixture gives rise to a strange new race of beings said to have the eloquence of the Igadzra, the optimism of the Zidagar, the deferential politesse of the Azdgari, the swiftness of the Voinians, and the technological superiority of the Emalgha.
The new beings start singing, "We are agents of the free--" and are promptly thrown out by the bouncer.
