Until the TF became available, I totally used a Rim Prospector. It's fairly speedy and very tough, and can hold vaguely useful amounts of weaponry. However, there isn't much emphasis on big combat in FH, mostly evasion and the odd capturing, so the weapons weren't really important.

Wait...you're not supposed to get into fights? <grins> I usually end up either slaying pirates or fighting Rigel / Magella for fun. And anyway, the Icax is fast, has a decent range, and can hold some cargo if you make room. Much better than a Rim Prospector...

...I wouldn't want to be in a ship that couldn't defend itself. And I wouldn't want to be in the ship everyone expects people to be in.

Only thing I did besides mission string fights was the odd luxury liner hit at, ummm, that place that always has tons of them. To the right of the center of the galaxy, but not out to the edge, I believe.

If it's not Polaris you're talking about (using Leviathan, north of Propus, as a reputation gainer and Propus as a safe landing, as they like you more there than in Polaris) then fill me in. I love that tactic!
