How do you gain access to the 3rd level of the learning tree?

how do u get the mission to go find the ring? i have access to the second level and all he is sayin to me is to find an item to kill the sea giants and bring it to him. is he talkin about the ring? and also where is the ring?
i would have made my own topic about this but for some reason i cant register, it says i cant register under hotmail or yahoo. whatever, this works just as good.

You get the ring quest after getting the milla'kara shield, which the elf sends you on.
If you have the Order of Seasons quest follow it until you are told to find the shield,
and to ask a blacksmith about it. Do this, find the shield, talk to the elf, and then
go see the druid.If you need a spoiler(more than what I've given) ask and more shall be revealed.

Keep checking with Emilius. I believe you have to find the magic shield before he sends you on the ring quest. He will tell you where to find the ring when he gives you the quest.
Correct. You cannot register with Hotmail or Yahoo accounts. This was done as a security measure because a few people using that type of account abused the discussion forums.

the elf in the cave under those ruins? i talked to him but he told me to go away. how do u get him to send me on that shield quest?

im on the one where i have to find a symbol for the soldiers. thats it, and the one to search for "orders" in the tree.i found the building that is the enterance to high garendall, but i need the key, that u get on the third level of the learning tree, that u get access to from emiluis but all hes tellin me right now is to find a way to defeat the sea giants and bring the item to him.

There is your problem. Go to the learning tree and look up "Orders." Then look up
"Order of the Seasons." This should change your quest log to display "Order of Seasons"
quest, which is to find the elf. Once you have this quest he will speak with you, send
you on quests which will culminate with you being able to access the 3rd level of the
learning tree, and thus being able to finish the symbol quest as well.If you have further questions, just ask.

i completely forgot where to get the black dragon tooth. i know where it is, but i cant remember how to get to the skull temple. where is it from the cave at the south end of varendeep lake?

Look for a cave on the north side of the lake. I believe it is 1 south of the ruins
that the elf's cave is in. There is a dirt path that leads south to a cave that is
filled with little rock guys.. they look like koa-toas if you ever played D&D...; anyhow
there is a bridge at the south end of the cave which leads to the southern exit. When
you exit at the south end you will be south of the lake.------------------
