Is it just me or do all the missiles in this game stink? I used torps in ev1, and now when i fire missiles, any kind of missile, they spin around in circles and don't hit anything. I'm flying a cruiser with heavy rockets because the missiles are bad so it doesn't really matter but i was just wondering.

Yup. This is true to an extent in EVO 1.0.1, but 1.0.2 makes it far, far worse.

I like hunter missiles
I use them as really really long distance rockets... aim in the general direction of the target... they work well for me... I like taking out crescent warships and igadzras with H.missiles...

Try the earlier versions of EVO if you really like guided weapons like SAD, SAE, Needle Missiles etc as they work much better in EVO 1.0 & EVO 1.0.1. You can get copies of EVO 1.0 by borrowing the CD which came with MacAddict vol 28 - December 1998 or volume 23 of MacAddict - July 1998. The December 98 Disk has a Bonus Pack for EVO.
EVO 1.0.1 is available on the following MacAddict Disks :- # 29 - Jan 99;

The same reason that turrets take up a gun slot AND a turret slot, and that Hector steals your money... EVO just isn't as good as EV. 
I think Nova will clear up all of those/these problems, as well as improve upon other aspects. I can't wait...

I'm not used to not being a bot anymore.
I would like to suggest miranu defense pods. In any large capital ship you can employ 8 and wipe out anything quickly. Once in a miranu frieght (with speed upgrades and dospect)I destroyed the Dreadnought before my destroyer escorts could enter the battle. This was not skill either. I few over the Dreadnought and bombs away. Quickest way to win the mission. Way faster than the MP and you get the added bonus of blowing up the Nought face to face.
