Considering my tight schedule this weekend, there's a chance I might run the melees for division placement tomorrow (Saturday, November 24). There's a smaller chance that I'll do it late (after Sunday). In either case, I'm probably just going to run them and send confirmations afterward, since placement is supposed to be made semi-arbitrary (the melees are to make sure everything works fine, and to make sure no divisions have awkward balances of ships). Any entries made after the melees will still count (and be placed arbitrarily); they'll just not be participating in the pre-season (but that won't affect your performance).
So expect a confirmation within the next 3 or 4 days with a list of your stats (I had to reduce the number of fighters on some) and your placements. At that point you'll be able to modify your ship free of charge, but with no info on other ships. Instructions will be included.
After that, I'll try to run battles 1-2 times a week, more info on that in e-mail.
Well, this is looking promising. I've gotten a good number (about 20 so far) of entries. I have to go back and review a lot of the invalid entries since Netscape might be pulling something strange here. In any case, the confirmations will probably sort everything out.
Thanks to all who sent in entries (the contest is still open to new entries too), and good luck to all who are participating.
