Why?
'Cuz I haven't gotten around to getting the Azdaras yet 
And because I spent a lot of time flying a Helian before I bought an Arada and became quite good with it.
And, yes, I haven't had the game long.

Hehe...Azdara impossible to control? It's a little fast on the turning sometimes, but I know people (and when I'm lucky I'm one of them) who can land an Azdara on a planet at x2 speed.
Just wondering, but shouldn't the Crescent/Zidagar/Zachit fighters be included in the same category, since they really are the same ship, just with modifications? Hehe...maybe I'm just getting mad at the Azdara's lead.

Just to remind you all, the Crescent fighter has double the weapon space, more base weapons, and with some speed upgrades it's almost at the Azdara's level in speed (and more shielding)

You're absolutely right, Captain Skyblade. I consider the Azdara easy to control, even with upgrades. Maybe it's just you, me and SilverDragon, but I always considered the Azdara a joy to fly, not a pain that needed extreme concentration to fly.

If we were talking about our favorite fighter to kit out, I would say VHF. It has amazing weapons capacity if you replace the Voinian weapons with stuff from the crescent and UE Space. However, this is a poll on best fighter in the game, so I would have to say Zachit Fighter. You just have to love weapons and a cool paintjob.

Face it: The Azdara can beat any other fighter in the game, regardless of how it's outfitted, if you fly it properly. Even if the other fighter has fast weapons like needle or pursuit missiles, the Azdara can run away from them and recharge its shields between hits.

As much as I prefer the Azdara, I'd have to disagree with that to some extent. Sure, if a player is flying the Azdara against any other Override fighter, it will usually whip them (Zidagar Fighter is certainly tough, though). But AI against AI? Azdara often falls prey to dispersal rockets and concentrated phase fire.

One might also point out, Ace, that everything is based on opinion. This means that there is no right or wrong answer, only a general sentiment, or popular choice. This popular choice, or, for that matter, your choice, should not affect any individuals response. You are obviously adamant about the Azdara being the best fighter, but the fact is, every fighter listed (with the possible exception of the Krait) can shine in different situations. For example, I would take a standard Emalghia fighter over a standard Azdara in battles against the Voinians. That's the beauty of having so many selections; one can choose a fighter right for their person or situation. Guess that about sums up my beef. shrugs

I'll have to rephrase that. A PROPERLY FLOWN Azdara can beat anything. In the hands of the AI, it's true that the Azdara isn't all that dangerous (though a similar ship would be in Nova).
