KILL THIS, you really should slow down. No offence or anything, just a little friendly advice. I looked down the list and about fifteen topics had just been posted in by you, slow down my friend or else you might sprain a finger.

Number of posts isn't everything. Karma isn't everything. Relevance of posts is Everything. Respect is everything.

Personally I think you do more damage to yourself by going on spree's than you gain from numbers of posts.

Since I don't spend hours on hours of time constantly online, I try to catch up on things all at once. Posting sprees are just how I respond to things. Number of posts has nothing to do with it.
But sure, I'll slow down.

Actually, 69 posts in the past half year is nothing. Just because you've seen a few posting sprees doesn't mean much. If you consider his post to time ratio he's probably near the lower end of members who are actually here.

Hell, it took me from January 00 to January 01 to get 383 posts. Since then I've been a bit more active, but nowhere near some folks who have more posts than I do in the past six seven months or so.

Hey, fifteen posts in a row isn't necessarily a spam, or too much posting. There was a time when I'd spend maybe two or three hours straight on these boards. That's not to say I was spamming at all.

I'm agreeing with forge -- Carno has been active outside the Override board for a total of around 7 months, and he has more posts than anyone but andrew, and Mouse ... Well, we all know about him.

Glad to see I have a few supporters, and that this hasn't turned into a flamefest. To sum it up...will I ever stop my posting sprees? Probably not, since it's just the way I like to do things here. However, if anyone has any gripes, I'd be happy to listen.

I just think that this is another perfect example of how Mac Users are the smartest and most matured species in this computer world. If this was a PC post, there'd be many mudslinging people out there screaming incoherent words at one-another. But not here...ahhhh this is the life...

Kill this, and everyone else who wants him to get karma, one thing you might do well to remember is that karma praises are given for behavior that is above and beyond what is expected of board members. What Kill this has shown is the level of maturity we expect from board members, and from people in real life. Just a friendly little reminder of the foundations of the karma praise system. In short, karma praises should be pretty hard to get (though they've been cheapened somewhat, but that's outside the scope of this post).

Is it really expected? Well yes, but does everyone normally react like he did? Not really. While it might not be worthy of cannonising him over, it still deserves a mention, if not karma.

I only started posting in June, and I have about 500 posts... but that's probably because in the summer, I was online like, 24-7, and I had nothing else better to do then work on plugs and chat on boards... And now, even at college, I STILL go online AT LEAST twice a day, with an average of 5 posts per day.
