OOC: Grundulator, you can control the fleet that Rigadaz sent to attack Kelmoan. It's comprised of about 30,000 ships.
-------------
The Edien commander looked at his battlefleet. "Very good, engage for DSN-1154!"
The Edien fleet, composed of about 4,000 ships, slipstreamed towards the DSN-1154 system. It's mission; distract the Voinians while the other Edien fleet attack Kelmoan.
The Edien battlefleet zoomed through slipstream, and soon exited. They were confronted by the first wave of Voinian ships, which had detected them nearing the system.
"Lead ship to all vessels; attack!"
-------------
The famous Pirate captain, Lars Magna, looked over his fleet. Over 30 ships had been assembled, along with numerous frieghters that would carry off the loot. This was Lars' personal fleet, which he would now use to strike at the Renegade Alliance and later the Kayan alliance which had pestered the Pirates for so long.
"Captain, all ships ready," a lieutenant reported.
"Good, move ahead!" Lars ordered.
The fleet began to move forward, but this was not any ordinary fleet. Lars had personally overseen the refit for every one of the ships. Each ship had been enhanced, and all of the larger ships had been equipped with a new type of weapon; the Enhanced Thoron Beam. Lars had gotten a Thoron beam, and used his brilliant engineering mind to specially enhance it and make it quite powerful. With these new weapons, he was now going to strike fear into his enemies.
The Pirate fleet jumped into slipstream and headed for the Renegade Alliance system of Cetax....
---------------
All was calm in the system of Cetax. A few Renegade patrols flew through the system, when suddenly Lars and his fleet jumped in.
The Renegades immediately fired on the fleet, but they were met by an equally powerful fusillade of weapons fire. The Renegades, consontrating on the bulk of the fleet, didn't notice a small group of warships, escorting a large group of frieghters, heading for the planet.
As the warships flew through the atmosphere, blasting away anything that fired back on them or looked like a good target, the frieghters landed near the shipyards and outfitting centers and unloaded their troops.
The Pirate troops charged forward, fighting off the few Renegade guards present and started to carry off whatever they could. Supplies, cargo, weapons, even ships. For the next two hours, as the Renegades dueled with the Pirates, the Pirates on the planet carried off approximately 390 tons of supplies, weapons, and equipment. They also stole over a dozen ships and caused massive damage to many facilities on the planet.
The Pirates left the planet, and the remaining Renegades were blasted apart by the bulk of the fleet. Then, the Pirates quickly hyperspaced out before any Renegade reinforcements could arrive.
The Pirates had lost 11 ships, the Renegades had lost 23. Lars hurridly hid at his base, in the NSI-009X system, located in the Trinidad nebula. There he set to work on building a new station, as well as a new shipyard on the original one. Using the supplies and ships he got, Lars could now create his own private army and navy, unite the rest of the Pirate factions, and bring chaos to the New Galaxy.
OOC: No one can currently detect the Pirate base in NSI-009X, nor does anyone know about the jumplink which goes to NSI-009X.

OOC: Arada Pilot has authorized me to post this for him.
Arada Pilot looked over the latest military reports. The research on the Viper was going well, as was the refit on the A.E.S. Vindicator, the only surviving Azdgari Supercruiser in existence. The other three supercruisers, the Vicious, the Revenge, and the Glory, had been destroyed in the (url="http://"http://www.carnotaurhq.com/golden_horizon/info/other_info/famous_battles.html")Battle of Azdgari(/url). The Vindicator was heavily damaged in the conflict and barely escaped with the refugees. During the last six years its battle scars had just be barely patched up and the ship was in a desperate state of disrepair. The refit on her would replace most of the outer hull as well as the aging internal circutry and a dozen other things.
Arada Pilot then looked at the next report. Construction had begun on the first supercruiser shipyard built in the last 6 years, and the reports said it would be done in four weeks (8 posts).
The final military reports just stated that the navy was in good order and the shipyards that the Azdgari had were working well. Arada Pilot, after taking another look at the jeweled saber that hung on the wall of his office, then went to the other reports.
Apparently the system directly below Deneba Minor, Nor'Thak, had two habitable planets. It also was nicely suited to a military training site and shipyard. Arada Pilot sent out an order to the colonization depart to work on colonizing the system, then got up, and took the jeweled saber in his hands. Smiling, Arada Pilot headed off to go to a special sword training site where he could practice with his saber.
About half an hour, five chopped desks, and nine severed wooden boards later, Arada Pilot returned the saber to its resting place and went off to a meeting with the Azdgari Council of Warriors.
Entering the room and sitting on a rather luxurious (sp?) chair, Arada Pilot looked at the other council members. There was General Lahkth, a veteran of the Igadzra/Azdgari conflict and an excellent defense advisor. There was also General Lazon, who was rather new to the job and very impulsive, as well as Admiral Vacor, a veteran of the Edien/Azdgari War who was nearly killed when his flagship, the A.E.S. Glory, a supercruiser, broke up over the skies of Azdgari in the battle of azdgari. He had barely escaped by getting in an escape pod, which he piloted into the fighter bay of a nearby Azdgari Warship, and promptly continued on fighting. Not long after Vacor was forced to leave when the Azdgari retreated. Finally, there was Admiral Rathan, one of Arada Pilots main advisors.
"What do you have to bring to my attention?" Arada Pilot asked.
"Emporer," General Lahkth stated, "We have no allies nor enemies in this galaxy. If we are to survive and become a great empire once again, we must make allies first, and enemies later."
"But why?!" General Lazon blurted out. "We have a large navy, and a supercruiser! Let us crush our enemies and have the element of surprise!"
"What you fail to realize is that, first off, our navy is not what it used to be, and our last supercruiser, the Vindicator, is being refited which will take two weeks (3 posts)," Admiral Vacor pointed out.
"Yes, and that is why I say that we make an alliance with the Miranu," General Lahkth continued. "If we ally with them, we won't be angering anyone, which will give us time to build up our military. An alliance with the Miranu would also give us vitally needed income and supplies for our empire."
Arada Pilot thought for a moment. "You're all dismissed."
As Vacor and Lahkth got up to leave, Lazon stood still for a moment, glaring at Arada Pilot. "You're dismissed!" Arada Pilot ordered, and Lazon finally got up and left. The emporer then turned to Admiral Rathan. Rathan shrugged. "There's one in every government. Don't worry, show Lazon a strong hand and he'll learn some discipline."
Arada Pilot then stood up and looked at a picture on the way. It was 3 feet tall, and 6 feet wide. It showed the battle of Azdgari as the Glory broke up and plummeted to the surface of Azdgari are explosions were everywhere and the battled raged around it. "Will we ever return to our past glory through all the strife we have encountered through the years?" Arada Pilot said to himself. "Will we ever become the great empire we once were? How is it possible that one species can go through so much and survive through it all?"
"Pardon?" Rathan asked.
"Oh, nevermind," Arada Pilot replied, and turned towards the setting horizon.
He stood still and silent for a long moment. "What do you think about the alliance proposal?"
Rathan thought for a moment. "It would definitely benefit us to make an alliance with them. And it would unaffect us in time of war, seeing that the Miranu would remain neutral."
"So you agree?"
"Yes."
"Very well. Go to Mira yourself and tell the Miranu of our intentions."
----------
The A.E.S. Wolf, an Azdgari Warship and Rathans personal vessel, escorted by three Azdgari Aradas, took off from Deneba and headed towards Athena, the Miranu homeworld.
Several days later, the Wolf entered the Athena system and started to orbit Athena itself. "This is Admiral Rathan of the New Raiders of Azdgari. I come with a diplomatic message from Emporer Arada Pilot, and I wish to contact the Miranu president as soon as possible."
As soon as Admiral Rathan was finished with a message, an Azdgari lieutenant ran up to him. "Sir! We've detected an Igadzra vessel in orbit. Starcaft, heavily modified, Izar class. It's hovering approximately 400 kilometers away in a lower orbit. Your orders sir."
Rathan thought for a moment. "Leave it alone. Continue on normal course. Now isn't the time to be making enemies, especially when we want to be making friends."
-----------
The Federation fleet in the Notil system regrouped then charged the Edien fleet, just as the backup fleet arrived from Igadzra. The second fleet, however, was quickly pounced upon by the Ediens, who split up their forces to deal with the two. However, this made them slightly weaker, and the Federation soon surrounded both sections and closed in for the kill.
One section was quickly destroyed, but the other section fought on. Meanwhile, large amounts of frieghters, escorted by warships, began to land on the planet and deploy millions of troops. Starfighters flew through the atmosphere, strafing Edien troops and blasting anything that would pose a threat to the troops. Warships in orbit began to bombard the Edien surface troops with torpedoes which blasted away whole companies at a time.
-----------
The Federation scientist looked at the techs that the refugees had brought with them to the Milky Way. He was the lead scientist at the New Brooklyn Tech Lab on S-570, one of the leading tech research centers in the Federation. With him stood two Kayan scientists. They were all looking over a data pad of the techs that the Kayans and the other refugee governments had to offer.
"This all looks promising," the scientist noted. "Hmmmmmm.... These Thoron Beams could prove to be useful in shield technology. According to our studies, thoron generators could give our shields not only added strength, but much improved regeneration. However, we weren't able to research much about it due to budget cuts and the research information we did have didn't give us any way to stabilize the thorons.
"If we could develope and use Thoron Generators in all our ships, they would give us a nice edge against the Ediens. What do you say?"
OOC: Thunder, you control these scientists, so you have to make them respond.

Carnotaur, once again, excused himself from the meeting and headed towards the Red October. Quickly getting in and taking off, Carnotaur soon saw what Hawk wanted to talk to him about; there was currently a 2 kilometer long battleship sitting in the Akreyhek system, and Carnotaur had no idea what it was.
Carnotaur hailed the vessel and Hawk appeared on the viewscreen. "Hello Hawk Kael. Mind explaining this all?" Carnotaur asked.
