Hawk gripped the controls of the Saer, moving them as he piloted the slipstream. The ship flew through the corridors like a skilled pilot navigating wreckage. The Kisani had passed the Kealmon system about what seemed three minutes ago and his next stop was Innarlin. Or rather the system's twin Jewels. The system was a binary one, holding two suns that stood 32000 miles apart. The Saer would be jumping dead center in between them. The slipfighter had been designed to keep the suns' prpoerties from harming the ship or pilot for 10 minutes. Hawk would only need 30 seconds; that is if he could jump at the right time.
The fighter jumped from slipstream and the sun blared off the sun's hull, giving it an emerald fire gleam. The heat was starting to seep in almost immeadiatly, but Hawk tapped the light interface and the ship blasted into the slipstream.
If any Edien ship were to get a lock on it, their crew would be looking on in disbelief.
Sisay sat back, exhausted. It had been a long battle, but they had won. Giving command to his XO, Sisay left the bridge for his office. He had been fully aware that he was given command of the fleet and would do what was possible to keep this system.
The captain sat down and sighed, knowing he would have many briefings to hold. One he knew would be with the commander of the Fed fleet here. He reached forth and hit his desk com and opened a link to the Silver Talon. "Admiral Bendon, this is Captain Sisay of the Revearence. I think it would be nesicary to meet once we get planetside. There is much to discuss. Sisay out."
Grunting, the captain sat back and closed his eyes. He needed what little sleep he could get.
