MODERATION: Instead of radio, Benden will be using a triaxilating sub-space transmission band. He and I worked that out earlier today on e-mail.

(ENGAGE TRIAXILATING COHERENT SUB-SPACE BAND)
(MESSAGE TO VICE PRESIDENT BENDEN)
(ENCRYPTED LEVEL 10 - HIGH PRIORITY)
(I just heard about how your research project is coming along; good work. I'll send you whatever funds necissary. Also, I suggest you go to Freeport in the Riomor system; there we have a store of Zidagar Aligned Crystals we were able to get when the Azdgari, who were at the time in possession of all the crystals, left. They may help in boosting the strength and also help consontrating the message stream. Good luck Benden. - President Carnotaur.)

(TERMINATE MESSAGE TRAIL - TERMINATION SUCCESSFUL)
(TERMINATED SUB-SPACE BAND - TRANSMISSION ENDED)

Once Benden got the message he quickly went to Freeport to pick up the crystals. Coming back a few days later, Benden gave the crystals to the research center.

INITIATE RESEARCH/BUILDING PROJECT
Project Name: Operation Conact
Objective: 1) Build larger station with massive specially designed communications array, and 2) To research the technology for this array
Time Till Completion of Station: 2 Posts
Time Till Completion of Research: 6 posts
OOC: Posts by both you and me count for this, btw, so if you or I post, it counts as research time for the same project.

As Carnotaur walked to his personal ship, the Red October, a lieutenant approached him with a data pad. "Mr. President, this just got in from our technilogical depart; they've finished work on the new multi-reflective armor and it's now installed on all of our ships. Though it's not as if we added a whole new layer or armor to all our ships, this still gives us a nice advantage because though it may not be a lot more stronger, its cheaper, lighter, and smaller than the previous version. This means that we can put more of it on our ships which makes them even more stronger."
Carnotaur nodded to the lieutenant then continued walking towards the massive Red October.
Ah, the Red October, Carnotaur thought to himself as we walked towards it. It had served him for over 11 years, during which time it had gone through many battles and in the end it was almost completely different from the original design (which was a Voinian cruiser). When all the Federation battlecruisers got refits, so did the Red October, and now it looked quite different from when Carnotaur first bought her.
However, there was always something about the ship that always stayed the same. As Carnotaur entered the ship via loading ramp, Carnotaur looked around at the hallways and corridors. They were slightly different than the ones found in other battlecruisers since the ship was, after all, originally Voinian and thus it was built for Voinians. The modern battlecruisers of today were instead designed for a multitude of races, but mainly human.
As Carnotaur walked through the hallways on his way to the bridge, he noticed many familar sights. The mess hall, which had pretty much stayed the same during the Red Octobers entire life. Certain walls and corridors. Familiar faces and crewmembers. There was even one turbolift in the Red October that had never been replaced with new Federation ones, and thus the old Voinian turbolift had stayed there. Some personel called it "The monster" since it had jammed on more than one occasion and was more quickly and jerkier than the new Federation ones. Still, Carnotaur loved it.
Walked onto the bridge, Carnotaur sat down in the bridge chair, one of the last noticable original things on the ship. Through all those 11 years that chair had never been replaced. In fact, it was hardly changed at all. Though Carnotaur did clean it it was still one of the few things on the ship which had barely been modified in any way. Of course, it was not totally original. The original chair, built for Voinians which Carnotaur hated, was now the chair for the tactical officer, who was, obviously, a Voinian. Carnotaur had then replaced the chair with a chair from an old Igadzra Igazra.
"Close all ramps, activate atmospheric thrusters," Carnotaur ordered.
The helmsman, an Azdgari named Kiran, nodded and slowly eased the Red October through the atmosphere and into space.
"Sir, all escorts in place," said the com officer.
"Thank you ensign. Helm, engage to hyperspace for Riomor."
"Aye sir," Kiran nodded, smiling, and pressed the button. The Red October rumbled slightly and then zipped off into hyperspace, following by its escorts the Subterfuge, the Scorcher, and the Double Agent, all Federation Light Cruisers which had escorted the Red October for at least 8 or so years.
Carnotaur was now heading for Freeport, a major Federation base. After touring that base he would then move on to Motif and later Stror on a tour of the front lines. Carnotaur liked doing this because he himself liked front line combat, and on many occasions would take the Red October into the middle of a battle, against the protests of his aids and sometimes even his escorts. It also kept Carnotaur updated on the situation there that no admiral or general, no matter how truthful, could ever fully explain.
Carnotaur, with these thoughts in his head, relaxed in his chair as the Red October zoomed through hyperspace...
