    • Earning cash

      Hi.

I am a level 10 conjurer, with (IMO) bad equipment. I have recently been down to the Mage Tower, and realised that I have very little cash. Now, I wonder, is there any way for me to earn money relatively quickly? I have been down to the mage tower, Learning tree and Gwyden camp (along with those 3 tunnel entrances).

      TIA

Probably one of the better non "cheating" methods I've seen can be read in its
entirety a few threads below at:
      (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/webboard/Forum61/HTML/000638.html#")http://www.ambrosias...ML/000638.html#(/url)

Since these shops were put into the game and designed to buy at higher than "normal"
prices. It is my assumption that this was done to establish a moving economy(although
I think it would have been better to have the merchant who grows the spices sell cheaply
while the merchant who sells them away from the village sell them at high prices, but
then have him sell items that are native to where he is at cheaply, and have the
village sell those same items at higher prices.. ie, having a true fluccuating economy
that is dependant on location and demand). So since this was intended, it isn't
      "cheating."

Although if you want to cheat, you can always use one of the gold altering 3rd party
tools, or you could do the save/load trick where you find a pile of rocks or a hole
in the ground, save next to it, look in it, and if you don't get any gold or you get
very little you reload your game and try again. But again this in my view of the world
      is cheating.

But, this is a game, so play it anyway you want to. The above are suggestions though.

Shoot 'em with everything you've got. If anything still lives, shoot 'em again.

    • Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't herbs only for Rangers?

      ------------------

    • To use, yes. But you should be able to buy/sell them.

Of course I could be wrong, as I've never bothered purchasing something I couldn't
use. But since you can sell items you pick up that are unuseable to you, it makes
sense that you should be able to "waste" your money by purchasing them as well. Of
course if it does work, then you wouldn't be wasting your money, as you'd be running
around selling it at a higher price.

    • Fair enough. Who is this "Master Norgha", and, more importantly, where? Anywhere with monsters that won't kill me?

    • what are the cheating ways of getting money?

i mean, since i saw this post i've been searching the web for those third-party game editing software packs that you were speaking of. i can't seem to find any. can you point them out to me please?

    • Pandora's Box can be found if you do a search on Google. Cant remember the URL.

Be prepared to register it, though. That's what's needed in order to be able to use it to cheat, I think.

What I am wondering is "Which 3rd party gold editing tools?"

    • When you are starting out and get some health, potions, defences built up go to areas where large groups of goblins hang out (just north at the rockpiles or west at the campfire of the boys rescue) and kill them all. Save game and load again and the little gobs will reappear Repeat until the gold and drops thin out and then go to the other area and repeat the whole process...Get luck potions as soon as possible for better drops...But don't neglect to get some vitality sooner.
Tired of those squeeky pests? Go after something bigger, like the wasps. This stratagy works for the whole game... When your luck is up the drops get better...

    • Actually, I don't think you can buy herbs if you're not a ranger. Gewin the herbalist doesn't display them if you visit him with another class. If you come to him with a conjuror he'll say something like 'Ah you're a conjuror? I don't think I've got anything that would interest you. Wait, I have got some potions.' And he shows you some magic potions. I assume he won't show you anything for the swordsman
