    • Hell Bomb, you should have your own webboard for F-25 on it's own. It's like a press conference "Mr bomb Mr bomb! azdara2000, sunday telegraph How exactly do I" "Bomb bomb! Alien here, news limited, why won't the third mission on the blah blah blah..."

      Hell man, your a superstar!

We (you and I) attributed this to a problem with the first Pilot Builder beta ship using the escaped pod, I think. The second Pilot Builder changed the beta ship offering so that this was a non-issue. So I am thinking, that perhaps the problem here is with the Pilot Builder and/or ship slot used in the rsrc? I'm no expert.... does that make sense?

That isn't it- only because the beta ship is no longer an issue. There is really no conceivable reason for the Zachit to attack you except the fact that the mission objective is for you to attack someone. Maybe EVO's engine automatically tells the Zachit that you're up to no good (because they are good samaritans and security enforcers) while ignoring the fact that they are on your side. Anyway, I'm going to go through and fix some things Jim sent over and have a patch up by around 3 EST on my ftp site, AOL site, and eventually, ASW.

lol.. It isn't as great as it seems.. 🙂 But still, I'm just glad people are playing the plug and (mostly) enjoying it.. They're fun as hell to make and I'm always eager to hear what people think of my work..

    • I ran into that same thing where the Zachit shoot at ya, but they don't hit you. Ignore em. I have noticed that in several missions where Zachit are supposed to help you kill things (the Zidagar misssion for example) they just cruise around, doing nothing.

Is there a way to continue in the game without a fix for the missing fleet on defend f-25?

Actually, if you have the mission that says to destroy the dreadnought, there is a way of getting this ship. You jump into the system you have to go to and abort the mission; this will allow you to board the ship. Now your chances of commandering the mighty dreadnought are virtually nil, but with a lot of patience you might be able to board succesfully!
P.S. The dreadnought may seem cool, but it's a pain in the ass to fly, it takes me forever to get far enough away from the system center so I can jump.

      ------------------

    • Well, if the dreadnaught sucks in movement, whats the next best ship (and the best ship possible to get legelly)?

    • Ok, another stupid question. Has anyone else been unable to find the disabled scout in the mission right after finding the fleet? Btw, thanks for fixing that Bomb, you're the Man! I just can't figure out how to find the scout. I've checked Every sector within 3 jumps, and anything further and I can't get back to Mira in time.

He's in a system adjacent to Mira. So jump into a system, look around. If he's not there, load the pilot and try elsewhere. It'll work that way. 🙂

He would be in a system adjacent to Mira, but if your pilot file does not have mission bit 0 set, he'll never appear. I've emailed Bomb about this, but he apparently doesn't believe me. If you're encountering problems with the Defend F-25 mission, or the rescue witness mission or any other mission where ships are not appearing where they should, then you can do one of two things to fix it:

      1. Change all the dude resources in F-25 Data 1 so that the mission bit rects are set to -1, -1, -1, -1 (instead of the 0, 0, 0, 0 that some are set to)

      2. Edit your pilot file so that mission bit 0 is set.

I don't know why some pilot files do have mission bit 0 set and some others do not, but my pilot files never got that misson bit set, and so I never get to see the dudes who require mission bit 0 to appear.

      ------------------

    • Maybe I haven't gotten to this part in the F-25 plug-in or it may just be in the new version, but in saying imperial dreadnought, are you reffering to the Galactus Dreadnought.
Because I was wondering if it is worth trying to get the dreadnought or if a Centurian Cruiser was more powerful?

    • What's the fastest way to get to the new F25 stuff with a new pilot? I'm lazy and have played EVO through enough times that I'd like to avoid doing some of the missions. 🙂

      Thanks,

    • Azdara2000: After you leave Mira, look at the map. You will need to go to another system first before you escort ships to F-25.

    • Answer to all these questions about the small plug-in problems: Res Edit. There are a small number of little problems and they can all be fixed with the editor. I couldn't find the scout, had problems with "Defend F25" and a few other missions, but Bomb really can't fix that except by making a hundred patches so, read the bible, edit out the problems.

Sorry, but that's nonsense. Players should not have to edit a released plug in order to get it to work properly on their computer. It is in every way Bomb's responsibility to release updates until the bugs are fixed, just as it would be my responsibility to fix it if anyone found a bug in Secession. That's what making good plugs is all about.
