    • PC to MAC

      Here is the problem:
I have a Mac (only to play escape velocity, by the way), but not connected to the Internet. So I can download plug-ins and stuff only on the PC. So how do I get the stuff to the MAC?
I tried a network, but somehow my PC does not like the network-card i tried to put in it. Any ideas short of burning the stuff on a CD and get the MAC to read it?

Thanks in advance for the help

    • Try Setting up a Hotline Server (found here (url="http://"http://www.bigredh")http://www.bigredh(/url) ) on the PC and then upload the plugins to yourself, then over your network, get the Hotline client for mac and download then from yourself. If you have trouble with your NIC card in the PC feel free to email me for help as I help run a network with 300 macs and 600 PCs I am quite experienced the field of PC/Mac networking...

      Sincerely

    • I think I have an idea.
You can buy 2 zip drives, then connect them to your Mac and PC and just drag all the files on your zip discs and THERE!
Or you could just set up an internet acount on your mac, and throw away your PC.
      😄 😄 😄

    • Problem One: Network on PC is not working, i have not looked deep into it, but so far, does simply not work (but will take u up on that offer as soon as I do)
Second problem: MAC has no internet-possibilities.

All else will have to wait till i am out of my nightshift lag.

    • When you say Mac has no internet possibilities, do you mean that you can't hook your particular machine up, or are you saying that Macs can't hack the internet? They can, trust me...

What about ethernet? The way I said didn't require the mac to have internet access, just an ethernet card... when you start the hotline server, you can connect to it through a network, very simple, very fast, very very very easy... like I said email me if u need help with the ethernet card.

    • I'm in a hurry so I skipped the last four replies. If somebody said this, I'm sorry. You could possibly get PC Exchange on your mac...oh wait, you said you couldn't download, umm...maybe you could get a PC equivilant.

    • As I said before.
Get a ZIP drive for your Mac AND PC
make sure it's 100 MB, because they're way cheaper.

Plug-in I'm working on with a couple of others.

    • You didn't need to buy a mac. I have both EV and EV Override for my PC. Try searching for ARDI on the internet. there you can download Executor, a Mac Emulator that works very well. it's only a demo, but it still works for both games very well. it expires after one month, but, it seems that my computer clock is never more than a month ahead of april 11, 2000.

    • Ok, so your Mac can't go on the internet, it can't network to the PC and you don't want to burn CDs?

Then there are no more options outside of buring a CD or other media-storage device.

Why do you say your network card isn't working? Can you be more specific? Goto your control panels and to system, then check and see if Windows has your network card hooked up and drivers ready.
