Since nobody is representing the Miranu right now, I will speak for them:
Pikera slowly stands up, his white-garbed bodyguard rising with him although less obviously. He feels slightly faint, but this is no time for that. It had to be time-gap sickness- he left Mira at 3:71 in the morning (Mira days are 19 Lrima long, each hour 80 ho'oam long.) But now it was the eqivalent of early evening on station unity. He clears his throat and begins to speak:
"The Corocians wish peace, but their demands alone in a peacefuil galaxy could provoke war. We come here not to ask from others, but to give to all. The Corocians are rich and powerful: more powerful than any other force in the galaxy now. Yet they make the hashest demands. If the peace conference goes well, all must be equal. There must be no conflicts in a peaceful galaxy.I suggest that we instead look to..."
He topples over, fainted dead away. His bodyguards rush in to revive him, but he cannot be revived. Suddenly one of them shouts: "F'frassa poisoning! Pikera has been poisoned!" Paramedics rush in and cart him away. Pikera will probably survive: if the early symptoms of the slow-acting poison are recognized quickly, the antidote to the slow acting poison, derived from the leaves of the balma plant, will likely be successful and the poison not fatal. The first symptoms usually occur weeks or even months after the poisoning occurs...
By the way, I'm not suggesting that anybody present poisoned him.
