Silverdragon, you don't need 2000 posts to become a mod, alot of mods don't have 2000 posts, like Jude, Pipeline, Frandell, Michal L, Mburch.

Yes, I believe I've seen a few mods with around 300 posts. And besides, the moderators and administrator of Ambrosia Software don't look for people with tons of posts, they look for people with quality-posts and spirit.

Correct.
And be sure not to look at me for how many posts you have; I have almost 4,000 posts!

Oh, I didn't know that.
The first moderator I saw was Captain Carnotaur, so I assumed a high post count
mattered.
Another question - since moderators moderate a certain webboard, doesn't that
mean you've already reached your limit and don't need anymore?

Don't play with changing names:
Esponer - 130 posts
Paladin - Nearly 100 posts
Sylver - 1 post

Hmm..... If you mean as in don't need anymore posts, like they said, the amount of posts doesn't really matter. And the Karma descisions (raising, lowering etc.) should be controlled by the mods, since that's what they're summoned to do. And quite frankly, I think that when any mod raises or lowers karma with good reason.

Thanks again Titan for that karma raising request. Even though i regrettingly don't visit the boards alot anymore cuz of EVEA, i still watch the webstories that remain every once in a while and look at the Image Gallery. Therefore i appreciate the small bit of stature it gives me when i decide to post.
I'm for the idea of an open democratic style if there's good reason, but remember how many wackos there are that like to plague these boards (or at least in my day :)). I think a restriction of the freedom of speech even for praise is a good move on the mods' part.
