    • Nice story Samurai! I've never used a Miranu Gunship, but I guess it can't be too bad! I did that mission, in ofcourse, my wonderful Arada, but it gave me I think more trouble than it gave you. Hmm...

      Captians Log - March 18th, 2164:

Day 15 of the Hunt. I have scoured all of the Crescent, and some of UE space, searching for my next challenge. This has gone beyond being a challenge, this is a mission now. I will find him, I will fight him, I will avoid his "Machine Gun", I will emerge victorious. He seems to know I am searching for him, maybe this is why I can't find the beefed up woodworm pilot. Eventually, I will find him. I will go at any length to achieve my goal. My next area of search will be in UE Space, and the southern tip. He'll be sorry Stud Beefpile decided to fight him, because after the battle, he won't be complaining about blisters on his brain, he'll be complaining he's floating in the void as space dust.

Translation: I haven't found the Disco Bison yet. I've gone through the Crescent. I will now be searching UE and South tip Space. I thought I would make it a little dramatic. 🙂

    • Don't you worry Skyblade! I'll be the one flying away from the battle. Zidagar space? I didn't search it too well, because, well, they don't like me. But ok! If you see him a lot there, its worth a shot! Hopefully, when and if I find him there, I won't have to deal with 5 Zidaras first.

NOTICE TO THOSE THAT HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THIS TOPIC:

I am going to begin turning these stories into a collection. To be in the story, you must have:

      1. Contributed at the least 1 story to the topic.

      2. Story must be REAL. It must have actually happened. No stories about using a cheat either, those won't go into the collection.

      3. If you haven't contributed to a story, but have provided small insights, good feedback, advice, etc., you will be in the story. but will not play a major roll. You will be more like "a guy who joins the conversation".

      4. This will take place at the Bar in the Hizdriar system, I forget the name of the planet, but its the one where the bar description mentions Zacha, renegades, strandless, traders, and miranu are all in the bar. If you know of a bar that would suit this better, feel free to tell me. 🙂

      OPTIONAL:

      1. Provide a name for me to use for your character, I plan to use your Web Board names. If you wish, tell me a different name, and it shall be used. (AKA, pilot's name, real name, etc.)

      2. Description of your character or ship. I plan to make these up, but I will use other information if provided.

      3. If you want to send me some informaiton that you wish to keep private, and do not want posted on the web board, (e.g., your real name, etc.) please tell me, and I will put my email address in my profile for you.

      4. If you have contributed to the topic, but do not wish to be included in the story, feel free to tell me.

      Thanks. 🙂

    • A large amount of cursing is heard from outside the bar. Then the doors open to reveal one flustered person carrying one rather huge box overbrimming with vidpads, which he promply places on a table with a rather large THUNK. Going back out, he comes back in hauling an antigrav pad holding several more bins, also overfilled with vidpads. One look at him tells everyone that this man is somewhat of a scholar and a merceniary as well. He bears many weapons, including a rather nasty disruptor. He walks up to the bar and orders a tall glass of scotch, which he promply downs, then asks for a refill.

Looking at everyone in the bar, he says, “Oh hi, everyone. My name’s Whitehawk, one of many histories. I’ve come and gone from many realities and hold many titles. All those pads hold accounts of my histories. I am mearly an outlet, a collector if you will. I shall share a story now.” Grabbing a vidpad from one of the bins, he says, “Ah here we are, The Battle of Gadzair. A fine work, indeed. One from my carefree days as a conquerer

I jumped into the Gadzair system in my Zidara the Nova, a beautiful ship of lavendar and gold, ready for anything. I had many systems under my belt, which included all Miranu space, Voinian space(what was left, anyways), and half of UE space. Yet, I had many a dreams haunting my sleep. I dreamt of a crystal station with a mysterious aura with many wondurs things inside. I knew I must have it, to make the capital of my new empire. My crew had been trained well and knew what to expect from the legends I heard of the fabled Council Station. I also had around two hundred loyal Voinain marines onboard as well.

I opened a channel to the station, declaring my intentions: Surrender peacefully and become a part of my glourius empire or be taken by force from without. Now I’ve conquered many a world to know that they wanted force above peaceful assimaltion, so I wasn’t surprised when they said, “See you in hell!” I was however surprised when they launched five Crescent Warships. Three minutes later, my ship is on full afterburn, dodging their fighters with great skill, and the bravery of my crew. When they were dispacted, my fighter pilots launhced and headed into the maw of death. Twas the last I saw of them.

I weaved in and out of the way of SAD modules, jamming them with my blessed Zidagar ECM, giving and taking fire as I went. IÂ’ve been in many a horrific battle, but this seemed like Armagedden. I took on many hundreds of ships, blowing through the fighters, my phase turrets knocking them to knock on heavenÂ’s gate. Many a warship were little more then wreakage adding a huge pile of debris in the system, and me with no fuel or ordinace supply left(to those whod donÂ’t know, ordinace is missles, torps, ect ).

After many, many, many, ect long battle-weary hours of combat, it happened! As a blew up one of the five CWÂ’s, I wearly anticipated another barrage of fighters. But to my shock(and I do mean shock) none came out! Sizeing the advantage, I whirled around the remaining heavies, doing minimum damgage to each and splitting them up. Circling around one, I gave it a rocking as I targeted itÂ’s eginerring and breaching its core. I quickly used the same tactic on all the other ships and when it finally came down to just me and the last crescent warship. He had run out of SADs and we were both at max shielding, thanks to both my shield generators. We dogged it out in close combat and I came out the winner, with the CW another piece of wreckage adding to the debris field floating about the inner system.

I hailed Council Station said in a weary but glorius voice, “Your ships have been destroyed, many thousands of your people killed needlessly, all at the cost of protecting your station. They died with honour, but to no victory.” I stood up from my command chair and stepped closer to the view screen. “You have fought to protect your people and your home, but it has been in vain. You are now part of the Nordan Empire. Prepare to be boarded and taken over. Have your officals at the airlock to be banished or I will hunt them down and kill them. I have with me over two hundred Voinains marines, the elite of my empire’s soldiers, so fighting me is worthless. Prepare to be docked with.” With that, my empire’s caitol was moved from Pareen elsewhere: Council Station, taken in might and kept that way for many years.

Looking at his scotch, Whitehawk realized he drunken it. This time he asked for a bottle of Scotch, year 2025. Looking at the other people, he says, “Any other stories to be had? I’m all ears ”

PS: This really did happen, and I did not, I repeat, did not cheat. If this didn't happen then I was swearing for nothing for hours after because of cramped hands.

What the hell do you have aboard that ship of yours!? I-I-I-I-I'm still in shock! You even added good drama to it! You got any more of those kinds of stories? I, and I'm sure all of us would love to hear another!

      Captain's Log - March 29th, 2164:

I'm still on the hunt. I have not found him. According to a friend of mine, He has been seen often in Zidagar space. Although I am not liked very much in that sector of space, I searched anyway. I found nothing but mean Zidaras and Fighters on my tail. I haven't slept for days. I've searched this entire blasted galaxy for this guy. I even went into the Ji and Proxima Nebulae just incase, but alas, nothing. DISCO BISON! COME OUT NOW!

P.S. Yes I have gotten sleep, I was just being dramatic. 😉

    • Ok, here's another story...
      = = = = = = = = = =
Once again, I had completed the Rebellion mission strings. I was now happy to have access to all my favorite ships, and I decided to buy a Rebel Destroyer. I outfitted it with a manta fighter bay (along with five mantas), two torpedo tubes with lots of torpedoes, and three proton turrets. Since I was still the "most wanted" of the Confederation government, I decided to make my record yet worse. I had a handy account of around thirty million credits, so paying for escorts wasn't a problem. I went to Pashlife's spaceport bar, and began hiring some ships...First, I hired four Rebel cruisers, which I had no idea what kind of impact they would have in the following battle. I also hired two desrtoyers, making my fleet the deadliest in the Rebellion. My fleet, now consisting of four cruisers and three destroyers, made its way toward my target: Sol. When I arrived, I was greeted by the sounds of missiles being fired from a Confed frigate. My fleet, of course, answered with the sound of around twenty mantas swarming the frigate, and volley after volley of torpedoes. The frigate was easy meat, and was instantly destroyed before we even made visual contact with it. That was easy enough, now for the hard part: take over Earth! Hehehe...I didn't realize how long it would take, but it payed off. I hailed Earth, demanding tribute. "Sure, we'll give you tribute!" was their reply. (Just kidding, I messed up there. 🙂 ) "You'll be begging for mercy when you see our defense fleet flying towards you!" came earth's angry reply, and I prepaired for the worst. Instantly, Confed frigates began flying from earth, firing away at me. Fortunately, the Confederation vessels were too stupid to realize all the escorts I had, and mantas and cruisers fired away. It was truely amazing seeing all the proton fire, torpedoes, and mantas blow the Confeds to dust. Due to the somewhat simple AI, the frigates never fired at my escorts very often, but were content to destroy me. I remained far enough away from the frigates to avoid most of the missile fire, while my cruisers made history out of the ill-fated frigates. For about an hour, I followed this strategy, doging guided weapons and destroying enemy ships with my torpedoes and mantas. Finally, ships stopped coming out of Earth all together, and I was relieved to receive the message: "The planet agrees to pay you tribute." Alas, the great Confederation capital had fallen into Rebellion hands, and I gave all the credit to my bold escorts. I had lost one of my destroyers, four of my mantas, and my cruisers had lost most of their mantas. However, the battle payed off, and victory had been achieved.

I know, this isn't one of my better stories, but I thought I would tell you anyhow. 🙂

    • Whitehawk - That sucks! I think I read a story on the Chronicles, about the Nova, and the guy died. I guess it was by you. I could never bear the thought of leaving my wonderful Arada behind.

Skyblade - Nice story! You are actually able to dominate earth? I thought they had infinite! Same with ruby! Hmm, I used 999 mantas to defeat earth. Once again, cheats ruin my EV experience. Also, I hope this topic continues as well! Because, the more stories, the better my little collection will be when I release it! For a while, it was competing with "Dark Tide 2 - Red Tide". Now I beat it in views, but it beats me in replies. This is going to have to change... ;)_

I've lost count of what day of the hunt this is. I'm beginning to want to give up the chase. I've come full circle 3 times now. If this guy even exists, does he live beyond our galaxy? Maybe he's actually scared of me, and is hiding on some planet. If this is the situation, then eventually I will storm every planet with a team of marines. If then I still can't find him, or any trace of him, I will give up the chase. I've seen just about every other famous mercenary, except him. I've seen S.S. Surprise, lorilorilorilori, Elizabeth Rieb, and even S.S. Happy Endings, among hundreds more. But, not him.

    • Well, I haven't found the idiot yet, but something weird happened to me earlier...

I was in the Emnin (sp?) system, torturing a bunch of Zidaras, like the idiots they are, I ALWAYS kill those guys on sight. Anyway, 3 were in the system, along with their stupid fighters, they were torturing an Igadzra Arada. I first, sat back and laughed at the idiot, and when the Zidaras finished him off, it was my turn to fight them. So I killed off the fighters, killed off the Zidaras, and looked at my map. I saw, the Igadzras LIKED ME! They thought I was an upstanding citizen! I thought "Huh? But I went with the Azdgari!" So now, I am a role model with the Azzies, and an Upstanding Citizen with the Iggies! I have 2 strands liking me! However, I jumped into a friendly Igadzra system, and an Azdgari Warship was there. He suddenly turned on me, I thought maybe it was some idiot who attacks everyone, I targeted him just to make sure. It wasn't! It was a regular "Azdgari Warship"! I didn't attack any of the Azdgaris, instead quickly warped out of the system. Odd isn't it?

    • Another bizarre incident happened to me just a few minutes ago. I was in the Azdgari System, I had just hypered in. I saw a lone Igadzra Arada, and a lone Azdara. Obviously, they began to fight. The lone Azdara circled and swooped and flew by the Arada, both exchanging phase fire each time one made a lunge to destroy the other. The Azdara, somehow, was able to get the Arada down to 13% shields, before blowing up. Why did he blow up? He ran into a stupid SAE Module! This module was just spinning in circles, and he ran into it! If not for that, the Azdara would have beat the Arada! What amazed me most, was that a LONE AZDARA almost beat an Igadzra Arada! Perhaps this is normal, but usually I see a swarm of 6 Azdaras, and an Azdgari Warship taking out a lone Igadzra Arada.

    • Hey, first of all, i have also seen Disco Bison in a CW, and it was near the mid-right of Minuna space. he seemed perfectly normal, and since I was a newbee, I didn't think anything of it. Wish i had attacked him...

Anywho, lez get down to bussness, boys. I was one day in my UE destroyer fighting at the far tip of space, ay know, where there are renegades, azzes, and Zas( the northern tip asteroid belt). That UE destroyer is some thign out there. It can take almost all the ships, but it has its problems in numbers. Fortunatly, the other races are fighting all the time and stuf', so I wasn't in too much trouble. I was doing missions for the dude on Outpost Malloch in the Qureid system. Smart dude, ya kna? Anyways, I was on this mission to destroy this ISS azz crusier. I had been a good egg everywhere (Cept for the Azzs and Igazs, cause i helped the Zidis) because i fought of renegades. I was even a Zanchit.

I can tell that the universe rewards the good man from now on, and I try to stay a good egg. I had these 2 escorts, two aradas, both renegades, nothign wrong with that. But after a few tries agianst the ISS, i was blown out by the numbers. So, i retreated to system DSN2189. There is some tiny palnet there that says this is where you will take ya next holida vacation. I saw quickly that I was two slow to disable and capture a Arada, cause they warp quick. I was friends with the Zidds, and the Adds wern't fighting me, so i left them alone. The renegades wern't around. The only other choice was a Trader Lazira. I disabled 1, and saw my chances were about 30%. I took it, and
      Unseccesful
About 15 lands later, another one appears. Agian the chances are around 30%. I take it, and finally!
      Nope, Unseccsful
After the fourth time i was really embarassed. So i satrted to keep a number. I spent 7 months and 3 days trying to get 1, and i missed 17 Laziras...

      ------------------

    • The Disco Bison? I've seen him a few times. I've only attacked twice though. The first time was in the Emalghion system. He suddenly appeared when I left Emalgha, so I took a few shots at him before heading of to invade the Voinians. Mercifully, he only used SAD modules (or whatever it is he has for a secondary weapon) and not the dreaded Disco Machine Gun, and I was able to escape with minimal shield damage to my UE Cruiser. The second time was earlier today. I was in an uninhabited system just south of Hatuli, wasting renegades to improve my "Most Wanted" status with the human independents. I had been hanging out in my cruiser, which carries UE fighters, Crescent fighters, a bunch of blaze cannons and turrets, and a phase turret and a neutron turret for balance. I had built up quite a respectable escort fleet of former renegades: 2 CWs and a turncoat, and had toasted some of the more well-known galactic citizens like Matt Burch, Elizabeth Rieb, and lorilorilorilori (not too tough, he's in a scoutship), when suddenly, who should show up but the heat-packing, polyester wearing, plains-roaming mammal himself.

I had heard the guy was tough, but I had never actually seen the Disco Machine Gun in action. I sent my 8 fighters in, and the escorts followed, while I finished off some kraits and helians I had been busy fighting. It was ten seconds at the most before I killed the last krait and turned to join the battle. To my shock, my entire fleet was already dead! I was low on shields, but I made a pass at him and reduced his shields to the mid-90's, while he casually opened up and reduced me to half armor. I broke off and tried to set up a Monty Python, but he was too fast for me (I'm in a UE cruiser, remember). I tried to cloak but was brought out of it by another SAD module. I was grinding the space bar into the keyboard unloading my primary weapons at him (the fighters had been my only secondaries), but he got in range, and I was reduced to debris almost as soon as he resumed fire.

Fortunately, when I started up again on Gorky, which I have dominated, I got my escorts back. Did I learn my lesson? OF COURSE NOT! Next time, I swear I'm gonna waste that guy. I just hope I remember that handy device I have next time: the afterburner.

      ------------------

    • Boy, I'm beginning to wander if Disco Bison is even possible to defeat...The guy it just too powerful! And here you were in a UE Cruiser, and he still reduced you to rubbish.

By the way Stud, what kind of ship are you hunting the Disco Bison is? Are you still with the Arada? 🙂

    • Ofcourse I'm still in "that Arada"! I would never abandon my Firebird! And yes, the Bison is defeatable. As of now, we don't know, as of when I meet him, we will know... 😉

I have thought of my strategy to use against him, when and if I ever find the idiot. I will not do the usual Monty Python, because his DMG has a lot longer range than my Swivel Phasers. I will stay behind him as much as I can, because I am no doubt faster than a crappy Emalgha Warship, this shouldn't be too hard. This gets rid of the DMG problem, I still have to evade the stupid SAE Modules, while staying behind him. When I retreat to recharge my shields and armor, I will be forced to circle him, so he will have trouble aiming his machine gun at me. I don't carry any fighters (duh) and I don't use any escorts. The only secondary weapon I carry is a few hunter missiles. Otherwise, it's phase vs DMG and SAE.

BUT, I must find him first. I am getting sick of going around and around and around and around and around the whole galaxy over and over and over again!!!!!!!
