Yo-ho-ho and a dead Fed Cruiser!! Here's a fresh, short, but intense story straight from Galactic Scourge once again. sips his brandy
I was in Darven, and having just taken out the Skyclaw, a modified Kestrel in my DDT Destroyer, the S.S. Great Shark, armed with 2 missile launchers, 51 missiles, 1 DDT Fighter bay, 6 DDT Fighters, and a layer of Armaplast. So, I was Darven, when suddenly a Rebel Cruiser jumps in, and, almost as if they had arranged it themselves, a Confed Cruiser jumped in and started fighting the Rebel Cruiser! I'm thinking 'Yeah, my ship may look bigger than both of those but I'm no match for sure.' I waited and waited, the 2 Cruisers battling it out after their fighters were destroyed, and, in the end the Confed Cruiser won with about 31% shields. I figured this was my chance, so I launched all my DDT Fighters (which launch quite rapidly I might add) and sent them to attack the Cruiser while I charged right at it, all 4 Proton Turrets blazing against the Cruiser's Neutrons. Soon enough I was in half armor and the Cruiser was at basically no shields when I flew away, my fighters still swarming him with their lasers and Javelin rockets. I started firing missiles in rapid succession at the Cruiser to keep his concentrated Neutrons off my Fighters since they were VERY expensive to replace; not like Fleas or Confed Gunboats. So I figure that the Cruiser is about disabled when I go in and fire protons at full and he's disabled, when one of my fighters fires a rocket at him blowing the bridge out the back engine and the Cruiser went up in flames. Then a Corvette jumps in and I'm like 'Ohh damnit.' But I send my fighters after him anyway, and the 2 missiles fired before my fighters reached him reducing me to what'd be about 2 armor, and when I figured my fighters would be dead from the rockets and missiles, I checked scanners to find a Shields Down Corvette and my 6 fighters swarming him, firing off their lasers and Javelins, like 6 Dolphins vs. a Great White, and the 'Vette went up in smoke. I decided to land and restock on missiles and settle for a nice smooth beer.
I'm serious about both battles; the 2 Cruisers, the 'Vette, and so forth. And if anyone's wondering why I'm not drunk from so much Brandy, it's because I take the time between stories to sober myself up. finishes his mug of Brandy C'mon guys! What are ya? Mute or something?? Tell some stories! I'm stuck with all the storytelling it seems!!
