    • Crew of 1000

I don't know if you guys realize it, but ever since the 1.0.2 update came out, its been a lot harder to play with a large slow ship, like a freighter, than with a speedy ship like the shuttle. Henceforth, in mockery of the overly simplistic rules of the Crew of One, I am announcing a new contest.
Rules- 1st one to win, wins. The rest are losers (as if we didn't know that already)

      1. You may not use any craft that only carries one crew member, except the shuttle you start out with, nor can you use any of the following vehichles
      Arada
      Scoutship
I forget the others which are pretty good, but have more than one crew member, but you still can't use'em
      2. You can't have any fighters in your warship, if you buy a warship that comes with fighters, you must sell the fighters
      3. You have to play on strict
      4. If you use defense pods, or space mines, you're a yellow-bellied space sucker
      5. Thats pretty much it, good luck and happy hunting.

PS, watch out for the Adzgari, they kill you a lot unless you're their friend.

    • There are several problems with your challenge:

The Arada is one of the most popular ships.
The Scoutship is vital early on.
      People don't like playing strict.
The challenge, in general, is bad.

      Sorry.

      Banish the fiery sun,
And bring on the silent moon.

    • I WON!(just kidding) I agree with Esponer.

Oh man, you took it too seriously. Go ahead and use the arada if you want, see if I care.

    • You should be a little clearer about the challenge's rules. Also, maybe you should rethink your contest.

    • Okay I'll do it.

And Esponer, people do strict play on the Crew of one. And they don't use the Arada, and the crew=1 also doesn't let you use the scoutship.

The scoutship is a (barely) flying piece of garbage!

Sure, it looks nice and sleek, but if you read the shipyard stats, you'll find that the UE Transporter is faster. It has more cargo space, better shields and armour, and is cheaper. And you get a solar panel 🙂 Add a couple of fuel tanks and you've got a pretty impressive range - certainly enough to get you anywhere you need to be.

The scoutship was a natural upgrade from the Shuttle in EV; in EV:O that is not the case, but some people still use one out of habit.

I disagree - I used the scoutship only once in EV. In EVO, though, I liked the range. I used it to get the Miranu missions, and up until a bit ago I never used a solar paneled ship. By the way, did it recharge fuel in previous versions of EV:O?

The built-in fuel recharging only became possible in Override 1.0.2.
