Yeah, Ubermann is right. A player vs. another player, the bigger ship would win. Yes, one could Monty Python the other, but if the player was good it would have secondaries and Fighters. If an Arada (any type) and a UE Crusier battled it out (unmodified), the Crusier would win because of its many choices of weapons that could break a Monty Python. If there was a multi-player version, people would choose the bigger ships because they would know how to break it. So Crusiers are better in player vs. player, but Fighters are better eith player or AI vs. AI.

Ubermann - Cruisers will always win, in Ai vs Ai. I hope you meant that. If you think a human using a fighter can't win, check out "Moments of Pride and Accomplishment"

I see. Player vs. Player would be TOTALLY different! No longer would the ship matter as much. Rather the brains of the pilot. The bigger ship would NOT win. You could have a Voinian Cruiser pilot, and an Arada could beat him up.

Ah, not true. A stupid Cruiser pilot would lose but if he had any guided secondaries, he would pound the arada into sheer oblivion...I would be interested in any strat you could give that a cruiser would lose against.

In my opinion, Laziras are on eof the best ships around. Give them speed, RCS, accel. upgrades and the can outrun most ships exept fighters. With skill and after burners I've killed many Aradas in packs. All ships can be beaten by another ship in some way. All ships will eventually be killed in one instacne or another.
