I am gonna feel like and idiot because the answer in right under my nose or something. But for the Pilot File Editor download, when you open the program is asks you to open a pilot file, so I did. Then it asks for directory? I tried many many files and it would not work. It has nothing about it in the readme or anything else I have found about the program. PLEASE SOMEONE INFORM THE MORON(me)!

    • Pilot File Editor? Hah, I'm surprised you even got it to open! When I downloaded that thing, and opened it, all it did was quit on me.

Now, now, his program doesn't suck, its a very good idea, but he appearantly didn't do his coding correctly, or he didn't do a good job coding in the first place. The only problems are that his program is buggy and therefore doesn't work. It doesn't suck, but it is too buggy for us to be able to do the cool things the programer tried to offer. Personally I think this is a very hard type of program to do. In the first place, one much know a lot about the files his program will edit/create so he knows what to edit and how it can be legally (legal in computer terms) edited and so forth. and then the interace is quite difficult to program as well, then comes the coding of the program, which is just as if not more difficult than anything else. Take it from a guy who's a programmer-possibly-in-the-making, its no easy task and there's lots of room to seriously mess up, even for programming pro's. I think some of us innocently take programers just as much if not more for granted than graphic artists. These guys spend lots more time on their work than the final product indicates (at least in most of the eyes of those who don't know how much work such projects take). So I think that before we start saying that "so and so's program sucks" we should give the guy some slack, b/c even if he tried his best, the program could still be very buggy. And please don't think I'm being condescending, its just that I'm making a comment based on the comments I've seen on the boards here, and I just want to help rectify the situation, and not to criticize anyone. 😄 There! There's a smilie to brighten your day. 😄 😄 😄

Oh, and the Pilot Editor is in Beta, so its not the final release :D.
